Brooklyn Beckham Spent $425,000 on Engagement Ring He Gave to Fiancé Nicola Peltz, Expert Says
That’s quite a ring! On July 11, Brooklyn Beckham announced his engagement to girlfriend Nicola Peltz. The 21-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham presented the 25-year-old actress with a seriously impressive sparkler that likely came with a six-figure price tag.
Brooklyn Beckham calls Nicola Peltz his ‘soulmate’
Beckham and Peltz made their relationship Instagram official in January 2020. Now, they’re taking things to the next level. Model Beckham called the Bates Motel star his “soulmate,” in an Instagram post announcing their engagement.
“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side,” Peltz wrote in her own post announcing the happy news. “Your love is the most precious gift.”

Beckham apparently spared no expense when it came to picking out a ring for his bride-to-be. The emerald-cut ring appears to have between 4.5 and 5 carats worth of diamonds and a platinum band, according to Ben Jarrett, a jewelry expert with pre-owned jewelry and watch retailer Est1897.
“The ring appears as though it is a D in color and IF in clarity, the highest possible quality of diamond, with internally flawless clarity, free from any imperfections found,” he shared with Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “We estimate the price to be approximately $425,000 for this unique designer piece.”
Other experts placed the ring’s value at somewhere between $125,000 and $250,000, according to Page Six.
Victoria Beckham may have inspired her son’s ring choice
Brooklyn Beckham’s choice of a ring may have been inspired by his mom Victoria Beckham’s collection of engagement jewelry. Several of the multiple engagement rings she’s received from her former pro soccer player husband feature emerald-cut stones.
“It’s no surprise that Brooklyn has gone for an emerald cut ring,” Jarrett shared. “His mother Victoria has had 14 engagement rings during her marriage to footballer David Beckham, and three of the stunning pieces have been emerald cut, which seems to have been the inspiration for her eldest son.”
But the ring selected by the son of the former Spice Girl is both larger and more expensive than the first one his dad gave him mom. When his parents agreed to tie the knot in 1998, he gave her a 3-carat marquise-cut diamond in a yellow gold band. The ring was worth an estimated $80,000 at the time.
The singer-turned-fashion-designer doesn’t appear to be suffering any jewelry envy, though. After her son announced his engagement, she was quick to express her joy on social media.
“The MOST exciting news!!” she wrote on Instagram. “We could not be happier that @brooklynbeckham and @nicolaannepeltz are getting married! Wishing you so much love and a lifetime of happiness.”
