BTS’ Jin had surgery on his finger

On March 19, Big Hit Music published a Weverse post about Jin. In the Weverse announcement, the label alerted fans that Jin hurt his finger and had surgery as a result of the injury.

The Weverse announcement reads:

“Jin injured his left index finger during his daily activities and visited the emergency room at a hospital nearby for examination and treatment on Friday, March 18. He consulted doctors and was told he required surgery as the tendons in the finger had been partially damaged. He underwent surgery to repair the extensor in his left index finger on the afternoon of Friday, March 18.

The surgery went well according to the doctors. Jin was discharged from the hospital on the morning of Saturday, March 19 and has been resting. He will wear a cast for the time being for stabilization and a speedy recovery.

Jin will focus on rest and treatment to fully recover from the injury and to resume his activities in good health.”

The members of BTS reassured ARMY that Jin is doing well

Shortly after Big Hit Music let fans know about Jin’s surgery, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook of BTS held a VLIVE livestream to discuss their recent Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul concerts.

At the beginning of the livestream, the members made it clear that Jin was recovering smoothly following his surgery.

“He’s getting rested up now,” Suga said in the VLIVE.

Because Jin was unable to participate in the VLIVE, the band members included Jin’s BT21 character RJ in the livestream.

“This fella attended on his behalf,” Jungkook said, holding up an RJ stuffed toy.

Midway through the VLIVE, RM once again reassured BTS fans that they do not need to worry about Jin.

“Many fans are asking right now, and Jin is fine. I think many did not get his news because we only mentioned this in the beginning. Seokjin is very good. He is OK,” said RM.
