BTS: Big Hit Music Releases Jin and Suga’s Concept Clips for ‘Butter’
On May 21, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook of BTS will release a single called “Butter.” The song will be the Korean band’s second English-language single.
In the weeks leading up to the release of “Butter,” Big Hit Music is posting concept teasers online to give ARMY an idea of what to expect from the song. Concept clips for RM and Jungkook were published online on May 3, and on May 4, Big Hit Music shared concept clips for BTS members Jin and Suga.
BTS will release a new song called ‘Butter’
BTS announced the release of “Butter” on April 26 with a livestream on the BANGTANTV YouTube channel. The livestream began at 10 a.m. EDT, and fans watched an animated stick of butter melt into the shape of a heart until 11 a.m. EDT.
At the end of the livestream, the logo for “Butter” was revealed. It was also announced that BTS will release “Butter” on May 21 at midnight EDT and 1 p.m. KST.
According to a press release, “‘Butter’ is a dance pop track brimming with the smooth yet charismatic charm of BTS. This song is the second English single following ‘Dynamite’ released in August last year.”
Jin and Suga of BTS released concept clips for ‘Butter’
On May 1, Big Hit Music released the first teaser for “Butter,” a poster of seven individual photographs. The seven images are of yellow balloons with smiley faces, heart-shaped confetti, a drink being poured, toast with heart-shaped butter, a camera and film on the floor, spilled candy, and a crushed lollipop.
Big Hit Music released concept clips for RM and Jungkook on May 3, showing that each image on the teaser poster represents one of the seven members of BTS. In Jungkook’s concept clip, he spreads butter on toast, while RM shoots off a confetti popper in his teaser.
On May 4, Big Hit Music shared concept clips for Jin and Suga of BTS. In Jin’s teaser, he smiles at the camera and swings a handful of balloons around. During his teaser clip, Suga dances and takes photographs with a camera.
So far, all of the members’ concept clips for “Butter” have featured blue and pink lighting and instrumental music, though the music in RM and Jungkook’s teasers differed from the music in Jin and Suga’s concept clips.
Only J-Hope, Jimin, and V’s concept clips are left to be released, and so far the drink, spilled candy, and lollipop from the teaser poster have not been featured.
BTS fans can expect more teasers for ‘Butter’
Even with the teaser poster and concept clips for Jin, Suga, RM, and Jungkook, there are still multiple teasers to be released for “Butter.” According to the promotion schedule for the comeback, concept clips for J-Hope, Jimin, and V will be released on May 5 at 11 a.m. EDT.
On May 9, May 11, May 12, and May 13, teaser photos called “Teaser Photo 1” will be released at 11 a.m. EDT. The last teaser photo, titled “Teaser Photo 2,” will be posted online at 11 a.m. EDT on May 16.
A music video teaser for “Butter” will be released at 11 a.m. EDT on May 18. BTS will release “Butter” and the song’s music video on May 21 at midnight EDT and 1 p.m. KST.
