BTS Fans Are Super Proud of Jungkook for Composing ‘Your Eyes Tell’
Excuse us as we wipe away our tears because BTS’s Jungkook has done it again. The singer composed the song “Your Eyes Tell” on BTS’s upcoming Japanese album Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~. The album will be released on July 15, 2020, and to give fans a sneak peek of the album BTS recently performed “Your Eyes Tell” on TBS CDTV.
‘Your Eyes Tell’ is on BTS’s new album
BTS frequently releases songs and albums in Japanese, and the band usually releases a Japanese studio album every two years. Their first Japanese album Wake Up was released on Dec. 24, 2014. The group’s second Japanese studio album Youth came out on Sept. 7, 2016, and their most recent Japanese album Face Yourself was released on April 4, 2018.
In 2019, BTS released a Japanese single titled “Lights” along with Japanese versions of their songs “Boy With Luv” and “IDOL.” Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~ features 13 tracks with five original songs: “INTRO: Calling,” “Stay Gold,” “Lights,” “Your Eyes Tell,” and “OUTRO: The Journey.” The album will also feature eight Japanese versions of BTS’s previously released songs: “Boy With Luv,” “Make It Right,” “Dionysus,” “Idol,” “Airplane Pt. 2,” “Fake Love,” “Black Swan,” and “ON.”
BTS’s new song “Stay Gold” will be the theme song for the Japanese drama Rasen no Meikyū (Helical Labyrinth). “Your Eyes Tell” will be the theme song for a Japanese film of the same name that is set to be released in October 2020.

Jungkook composed the emotional song
After BTS’s first performance of “Your Eyes Tell,” fans can’t get enough of the ballad. The emotional track has a beautiful message, and the lyrics encourage listeners to keep hoping during dark times.
“Even the darkness we watch is so beautiful / I want you to believe me / Only looking straight at you / So you don’t go anywhere / The gazing eyes are so colorful / You have taught me that / Someday, sadness will turn us around / Ah-ah-ah / Your eyes, they tell / Ah-ah,” the group sings.
Now that ARMY has heard the beautiful song, BTS fans are amazed with Jungkook’s talent.

On Twitter, ARMY used the hashtag #ProudOfJungkook to express their pride for the BTS singer. Fans also tweeted about how excited they are for Jungkook’s solo mixtape. The singer has been working on one for several months, and according to a fan translation Jungkook originally wrote “Your Eyes Tell” with his mixtape in mind.
Given how good “Your Eyes Tell” is, fans know Jungkook’s mixtape will be astounding.
