How BTS Fans Are Celebrating Jimin’s Birthday in 2021
Happy Jimtober, ARMYs.
Unlike other BTS members, Jimin’s birthday nominates the month of October. ARMYs across the globe celebrate this artist, his music, and his birthday. Here are some of the Jimin “birthday projects” for 2021.
BTS ARMYs celebrate Jimin’s birthday on Oct. 13
He’s so lovely, and ARMYs are so lovely. Along with members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, V, and Jungkook, Jimin appears on songs like “Permissions to Dance,” “Boy With Luv,” and “Life Goes On.” He is also the star of solo songs like “Filter” from Map of the Soul: 7.
Jimin is also BTS’ resident prince charming, known for his sweet and generous personality. The dancer is a Libra, born on Oct. 13, 1995. With his birthday quickly approaching, ARMYs planned several projects in honor of the BTS member. That includes new streaming goals for Jimin’s songs and billboards projecting his cutie, sexy, lovely face.
How ARMYs are celebrating Jimin’s birthday in 2021?
Jimin will not celebrate his birthday face-to-face with the BTS ARMY. However, fans planned several projects in honor of Baby Mochi. There are “Jimtober” streaming goals for songs like “Filter” and “Friends” with an unofficial Spotify playlist to help ARMYs reach their goals.
Inspired by Jimin’s floral Be (Deluxe Edition) concept pictures, some fans changed their Twitter layouts to sport “flower boy Jimin” themes. The soft aesthetic does represent the idol well, as some noted his kind behavior toward ARMYs and other BTS members.
As of Oct. 2, billboards celebrating Jimin’s birthday appeared outside HYBE, the entertainment label of this K-pop group. This wouldn’t be the only billboard with a birthday message for the idol, as some appear in the world’s biggest and busiest cities throughout October.
This year also marks BTS’ return to United States-based stadium concerts. Just days before Jimin’s birthday, some fans purchased tickets to the December 2021 performances, celebrating on social media.
Past birthday celebrations included a giant ‘Serendipity’ bubble, and a Jimin themed festival
ARMYs have known this performer for over seven years now. As a result, past birthdays included some pretty special projects. Last year in Seoul, fans created a lifesize display inspired by Jimin’s live performance of “Serendipity,” complete with a bubble and golden presents.
The celebrations didn’t stop there. According to the International Business Times, in 2020, Jimin was the first Korean artist to have his own “theme festival” in Myeongdong. In 2018, ARMYs donated to Mind Leaps, a nonprofit that helps prepare impoverished and refugee children for education through dance, in honor of the vocalist.
Jimin has not revealed his birthday plans to fans, although some fans expect Twitter posts from the other members.
The “Permission to Dance” music video is now available on YouTube, as are the music videos for songs like “Serendipity.” Music by BTS, including their recently released album, Map of the Soul: 7, is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major platforms.
