BTS: Jimin Shared Why He Chose ‘Filter’ and ‘Friends’ for the ‘Proof Tracklist
BTS will release an anthology album called Proof on June 10. Leading up to the release of Proof, Big Hit Music is sharing teasers featuring the members of BTS called “Proof of Inspiration.” In the teaser videos, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook each share how they chose different songs for the Proof tracklist. On May 18, Big Hit Music released Jimin’s “Proof of Inspiration” teaser, and the BTS singer explained why he chose the songs “Filter” and “Friends” to be included on Proof.
Jimin selected ‘Filter’ and ‘Friends’ to be on the ‘Proof’ tracklist
Proof will include three CDs, and the members of BTS selected the songs featured on the second CD’s tracklist. For the second CD, each BTS member chose a solo song and BTS sub-unit track.
Jimin of BTS decided to include his solo song “Filter” and the song “Friends.” Both songs were released on BTS’ 2020 album Map of the Soul: 7. “Friends” is performed by Jimin and V, and Jimin co-wrote and co-produced the song.
In his “Proof of Inspiration” video, Jimin shared:
“I wanted ‘Filter’ and ‘Friends’ to be included in this album. I wanted to live up to ARMY’s expectations and show them many different sides of myself. And I still have many different colors left to share. I might have come across as being colorless instead of colorful if I’d accommodated myself to other people’s ideas without having a distinct hue of my own. But my ‘Friends’ — the members and ARMY — were always there to help me remind myself of what my essence is, and keep myself centered. You are my Proof.”
BTS curated the tracklist for the second ‘Proof’ CD
The tracklist for the second Proof CD includes a new song called “Run BTS” and multiple solo and sub-unit songs selected by BTS.
So far, Jin, Jimin, and V’s “Proof of Inspiration” teasers have been released. V chose “Singularity” and “00:00 (Zero O’Clock),” Jin selected “Moon” and “Jamais Vu,” and Jimin chose “Filter” and “Friends” to be on Proof.
Suga, J-Hope, RM, and Jungkook will share their selected songs in their upcoming “Proof of Inspiration” teasers.

BTS’ album ‘Proof’ will have three CDs
The first Proof CD primarily consists of BTS’ past hit singles, but it will also include a new song called “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment),” which will be the anthology album’s lead single.
The second CD includes “Run BTS” and a handful of solo and sub-unit songs selected by the members of BTS. Meanwhile, the third Proof CD will include unreleased songs, demo versions, and a new song called “For Youth.”
