BTS: Jimin Debuts Iconic Silver Hair Just in Time for the Group’s First ‘Black Swan’ Performance
It’s no secret that Park Jimin is absolutely lethal, but the BTS singer is especially dangerous when he has silver hair. It’s a superior look for Jimin, and is nothing short of iconic.
On Jan. 18, the members of BTS left South Korea to travel to Los Angeles for promotions for their new single “Black Swan.” At the airport, Jimin debuted silver hair, confirming that no one will survive this comeback.
BTS will perform ‘Black Swan’ on Jan. 28
BTS’s album Map of the Soul: 7 drops on Feb. 21. The group released “Black Swan,” the first single from the album, on Jan. 17. Based on the comeback trailer “Interlude: Shadow” and “Black Swan,” BTS’s upcoming album will be an introspective look at their journeys as artists.
On Jan. 18, BTS departed from the Incheon International Airport to travel to L.A. for promotions for “Black Swan” and Map of the Soul: 7. The group will take part in iHeartRadio LIVE with BTS on Jan. 27. The event is an exclusive interview where they will discuss their upcoming album with 102.7 KIIS FM’s JoJo Wright.
BTS will then appear on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Jan. 28 and perform “Black Swan” live for the first time. Because BTS is heading to L.A. so many days before their scheduled appearances, some fans are hopeful the group will also perform at the 2020 Grammy Awards on Jan. 26.
Jimin’s silver hair reminds us of BTS’s ‘Blood Sweat & Tears’ era
There is a reason silver hair is such a legendary look for Jimin, and it’s because of “Blood Sweat & Tears.” The song is the lead single from BTS’s 2016 album Wings. During the “Blood Sweat & Tears” era, Jimin sported silver and gray hair and we still haven’t recovered.
In the music video for “Blood Sweat & Tears,” Jimin truly shines from the first moment he sings the iconic “Nae pi ttam nunmul.” On Jan. 18, the singer’s airport look was reminiscent of his “Blood Sweat & Tears” look, making us truly afraid for BTS’s upcoming “Black Swan” performance.
“JIMIN IS BACK TO SILVER HAIR, NAH WE’RE NOT MAKING IT THIS COMEBACK,” one fan tweeted.
“okay so jimin has a long silver hair, is this a sign of blood,sweat, and tears part 2,” wrote a Twitter user.

Other BTS members have new hairstyles too
Jimin was not the only BTS member to show up to the Incheon International Airport with a new look. At the airport, RM and Jin both had mullets and Suga had blonde hair. V’s hair was permed, J-Hope’s hair was light brown, and Jungkook had brown hair with red tips.

“i need a break after seeing blonde yoongi, silver jimin, silver joon, seokjin mullet, taehyung curly, hobi and jk fluffy,” a fan tweeted.
The new hair styles show that the Map of the Soul: 7 comeback is officially upon us. BTS’s highly-anticipated performance of “Black Swan” on The Late Late Show with James Corden can’t come soon enough.
