Jungkook is considered to be the ‘Golden Maknae’ of BTS

He’s the youngest member of this group, but Jungkook pretty much masters every skill he tries. That includes painting, playing tennis, and even the bottle cap challenge. Of course, Jungkook is also a talented singer and dancer, functioning as one of the main vocalists in this award-winning K-pop group.

Over time, this idol adopted the “Golden Maknae” nickname, with “maknae” referring to his age and “golden” referring to his talent. However, he’s not the only BTS member to earn a nickname from the ARMY.

For some BTS fans, J-Hope adopted the nickname the “Golden Hyung” because of his talent singing, dancing, and rapping. He’s even a tennis player, often bragging about his bronze medal that he won… out of three teams.

Jin is said to have the ‘Golden Ratio’

He’s a singer and a dancer, but he’s also known for being handsome. He earned the nickname “Car Door Guy” while looking flawless getting out of a car. While filming the Carpool Karaoke segment of The Late Late Show With James Corden, Jin shared another one of his nicknames with the host.

“I’m WWH — Worldwide Handsome, you know,” Jin shouted from the back of the car. Corden said that he had the same nickname in school and Jin burst out laughing, saying, “you’re a joker guy.”

As the oldest member and the lead visual for BTS, Jin is also said to have the “golden ratio” when it comes to his facial features. As a result, fans started calling him that nickname, as well, starting around 2018.

According to Korea Herald, “In February 2018, an anonymous foreign plastic surgeon who had analyzed 269 Asian male faces concluded that Jin’s exemplified the ‘golden ratio’ of 1:1.618. This is the ratio of the distance between the singer’s ears and the distance between his hairline and his chin.”

Jin also earned the nickname ‘Worldwide Handsome’ for his looks

Jin is also the K-pop artist behind a number of solo songs. In 2020, he released “Abyss” to YouTube, earning over 17 million views in the process. Of course, he has several solo songs created in conjunction with BTS, including “Moon” and “Epiphany.”

The “Dynamite” music video is now available on YouTube. Music by BTS, including their recently released album, Map of the Soul: 7, is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major platforms.
