They light it up like dynamite, whether they’re performing in front of thousands of ARMYs or on the MTV VMAs. The “Dynamite” music video, released in 2020, was full of bright colors — the BTS members’ outfits were no exception.

For the majority of the video, each of these performers wore Gucci statement pieces from their pre-fall 2020 collection, each costing thousands of dollars, according to the Gucci website and fans on social media.

J-Hope’s leather shirt with point collar cost $4200. V’s green Gucci set cost about $2500 in total. The youngest member of the group, Jungkook, in addition to wearing a wool jacket with a Gucci label that costs $2800, sported a Gucci belt worth $460.

BTS wore Gucci for their ‘MTV Unplugged’ performance

This wouldn’t be the last time BTS showcased their love for Gucci. When BTS did their MTV Unplugged, their performance of “Telepathy” featured outfits from the Disney x Gucci Donald Duck Collection.

The “felt bomber jacket” similar to Jimin’s from the “Telepathy” video is priced at $3500 on Gucci’s website. The “striped wool sweater” similar to RM’s is currently priced at $1250. Although it’s not the same as Jungkook’s jacket, the denim jacket from Gucci’s Donald Duck collection is $2500.

BTS’ J-Hope shared his love for fashion and music

Each of the BTS members has unique fashion moments. However, of the BTS performers, J-Hope is the member known best for his love of fashion. During one 2018 video interview with Billboard, the members commented on the importance of fashion in music.

“For me, I’m always up to date with the trends,” J-Hope explained, according to a translation. “And look for clothes that fit my body well.”

“He’s a trendsetter,” Suga added. The other performers nodded in agreement.

That’s not to say that the BTS members don’t spend time and money on nonprofit-related projects. Recently, the group reignited their Love Myself Campaign with the organization UNICEF. They also donated to the Black Lives Matter movement, inspiring fans to do the same.

The “Dynamite” music video is now available on YouTube. Music by BTS, including their recently released album, Map of the Soul: 7, is available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major platforms.
