BTS: Jungkook Says He Trusts People ‘Until They Break My Heart’
Vogue Korea published interviews with Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook of BTS on Dec. 21. A great deal of Jungkook’s interview with Vogue Korea covered how the BTS singer has grown and matured over the years. In a new revelation, Jungkook shared that he trusts others “until they break” his “heart.”
Jungkook loves people fully ‘until they break my heart’
BTS debuted in 2013, and Jungkook was only 15 years old when the band debuted. Speaking with Vogue Korea, Jungkook revealed that the members of BTS think he has stayed the same and frequently say, “It’s great that you haven’t changed at all.”
When asked what has changed the most about him since he was a teenager, Jungkook admitted he gives his “all” to the people he cares about until “they break” his “heart.”
“I was warmhearted and trusting as a child, and I still am,” he said. “Until they break my heart, I give my all to those I love. My groupmates all acknowledge this. Sometimes, I worry about what’s going to happen, but I’m lucky enough to have my groupmates beside me, which is reassuring. But if I depended on them too much, it would be like hiding behind them, so I need to be able to stand on my own.”
Jungkook sometimes questions why people love BTS
While Jungkook loves performing and loves his fellow members of BTS, the singer admitted he struggles with comprehending the band’s massive fame.
“I always wonder why people love and adore us,” Jungkook told Vogue Korea. “I’ve thought a lot about how I arrived at this point. Firstly, I was lucky to have talented team members! Secondly, we have a CEO who really loves music. Apart from that, perhaps the synergy of BTS’ songs, lyrics, messages, performances and public appearances attracted more and more fans?”
The BTS singer continued, “Lately, it’s become even more difficult for me to wrap my mind around the situation. I guess it’s because I’m unable to meet the audience members in person. I need to work harder to prove that I’m worth their support.”
The BTS singer is always looking ‘to improve’ himself
Over the years, fans of BTS have come to know Jungkook as a perfectionist. In his interview with Vogue Korea, Jungkook admitted he understands no one “can be perfect.”
“Nobody can be perfect, but I’ve been able to enjoy it because I do everything that’s required of me. That’s why I can accept an occasional poor result,” the BTS singer said.
He continued, “I understand that hard work and the outcome are two separate things… I’ve learned how to accept the result. Of course, having the ambition to improve myself is another matter.”
