BTS Loves These American Artists as Much as You Do
Being one of the biggest boy bands in the world, surely BTS will run into other artists at award shows. Still, BTS has a few different American artists they’d love to collaborate with and meet along the way. From John Legend to Ariana Grande, here are a few of the boy band’s favorite American musicians.
BTS met John Legend at the Billboard Music Awards
At the 2018 and 2019 Billboard Music Awards, BTS went home with a few awards and even more international recognition. Additionally, the group met famous American artists, including Taylor Swift, Khalid, and Tori Kelly. One of the artists they were most excited to meet is Grammy-award winning singer, John Legend. Well, in 2018, they finally talked to him backstage at the award show, even getting to sign a CD for his daughter.
The group often mentions their love for John Legend in interviews, and their excitement definitely showed. Especially V, who practically fell into Legends arms as he hugged the artist, was excited to meet the musician. One fan on YouTube commented, “I am so happy for Taehyung. You could just see how happy this made him! It made me smile so big! It was also funny how Taehyung was like no I’m going to be beside John, and I’m going to sign the album first.”
Jungkook admires Ariana Grande
Who doesn’t love Ariana Grande? During one interview for Buzzfeed, when Jungkook was asked to pick a karaoke song, he started singing “No Tears Left to Cry.” During Grande’s performance of “No Tears Left To Cry” at the Billboard Music Awards, Jungkook started dancing and singing along in his seat.

Suga was quick to respond with “Power” by Kayne West. However, since the 2016 election and Kayne’s open support of Donald Trump, reports circulated that BTS unfollowed the rapper.
“Someone from BTS unfollowed Kanye West after his tweet about supporting Trump,” said one Twitter user. “Not only do we stan talented kings, but we stan woke and educated men.”
J-Hope likes A$AP Rocky
As one of the rappers of the group, J-Hope often mentions his admiration for the American rapper, A$SAP Rocky. Of course, there are plenty of other artists BTS list off as their favorites.
