Although fans of this K-pop group learned the menu items that come with this meal, it’s still unclear if there will be any added perks for ARMYs.
BTS is partnering with McDonald’s to bring a special meal to fans across the globe
J-Hope loves Sprite and Shake Shack. V loves Panda Express. Now BTS is partnering with one of the world’s biggest fast-food chains. In 2021, this band announced they would have their own meal available for fans to purchase.
According to a statement from Alistair Macrow, the Global Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald’s, this is the first celebrity signature order that will be available to McDonald’s customers all over the world. This meal debuts during May 2021.
Does the BTS McDonald’s meal come with a toy?
With new BTS album packages, there are plenty of goodies for ARMYs, including posters and photo cards of the members. As a result, some fans are wondering whether or not photo cards will be added to the BTS McDonald’s meal.
It’s not completely out of the question, and neither are toys, as BTS has its own line of BT21 characters.
Other celebrity meals, including the Travis Scott and J Balvin meal, did not include special perks. However, when BTS collaborated with other brands, like Samsung, there were photo cards included as an added bonus for ARMYs.
This menu item will be separate from the “Happy Meal,” though, which is marketed towards children and includes a toy with purchase. More information will, presumably, be announced in the coming days.
What is included in the BTS McDonald’s meal?
The specifics of this meal vary based on location, but generally speaking, the BTS McDonald’s meal is the same for fans across the globe. This meal includes a 10 or 9-piece Chicken McNuggets (depending on the market), medium fries, a medium drink, and two dipping sauces inspired by recipes from McDonald’s South Korea (Sweet Chili and Cajun).
This wouldn’t be BTS’ first brand deal as the K-pop group collaborated with Samsung, Starbucks, FILA, and The Coca-Cola Company, creating their own products in the process. Recently, these artists became brand ambassadors for the fashion house, Louis Vuitton.
The “Life Goes On” music video by BTS is now available for streaming on YouTube. The K-pop group’s deluxe album, titled Be, is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major streaming platforms.
