‘Permission to Dance,’ ‘Black Swan,’ and ‘Boy With Luv’ features all 7 BTS members as dancers

They’re one of the world’s biggest bands, known for their fan base, pop songs, and iconic dance moves. Together, Jungkook, Jimin, V, Jin, J-Hope, RM, and Suga danced for songs like “Dynamite” and “Boy With Luv.”

Fans consider the “Golden Maknae” Jungkook, J-Hope, and Jimin as the unofficial/official BTS “dance line,” with these performers starring in a subunit dance group for the “Butter” remix featuring Megan Thee Stallion.

However, each artist appears in group dance numbers, with members like RM, Suga, and Jin starring in the dance breaks for songs like “Butter” and On.” It’s the oldest member BTS member, Jin, who created the “Spine Breaker” choreography.

Jin created the unofficial choreography for BTS’ ‘Spine Breaker’

During BTS’ 2017 FESTA, these artists discussed Jin’s choreography for “Spine Breaker.” It involved a lot of spine-based moves, some of which even involved making a “shark fin,” according to Jungkook’s interpretation.

“First you bend, then straighten your hands,” Jin said according to a video translation, hovering over the table. After showcasing heart-themed choreography, Jin said that his moves are “the most original.”

Eventually, these artists all performed the choreography to a recording of the song. It wasn’t exactly graceful, but as RM explained, it did help convey “Spine Breaker” and its meaning to people who don’t speak Korean.

The unofficial “Spine Breaker” dance wouldn’t be the first or last time this idol created group choreography. During one interview with Time Magazine, BTS voted Jin as the member with the best moves.

“Honestly, how should I explain,” Jin said, according to a translation. “I think it’s because I interpret the lyrics literally into my dance moves.”

RM then sang some of the lyrics to “Spring Day” while demonstrating Jin’s unofficial choreography. He turned to Jimin, saying, “Isn’t this a masterpiece?”

Jin is also known for having a great sense of humor and, of course, for being “Worldwide Handsome.” In addition to being a vocalist, this idol is known as BTS’ lead “visual.”
