BTS’s Suga Once Wrote a Heartbreaking Letter to His Ex-Girlfriend

Many people can probably understand there are a lot of feelings associated with love and romance, whether one is in a long-term relationship or reminiscing on a past partner. BTS’s Suga seems to relate to this experience as he once wrote a heartbreaking letter to an ex-girlfriend after their breakup. The letter detailed his thoughts on their relationship and the reason they broke up in the first place. Read on below to learn more about what went on in Suga’s mind at the time.

BTS’s Suga sent a letter to his ex-girlfriend to a radio station

When Suga was a teenager, he started dating a fellow classmate. However, the relationship fizzled out, and Suga later sent a letter about the experience to a radio station.

“Hello, I’m Min Yoongi who lives in Daegu,” Suga’s letter began, as reported by Koreaboo. “I’m embarrassed that I’m writing a letter to a radio that I’ve always listened to. Our Korean language teacher asked us to write a letter that could be sent to a radio. I was contemplating on what to write, and I decided to write about my past love while reading Hwang Dong Kyu’s ‘Enjoyable Letter.’”

He went on to share that, when he was in his second year of middle school, he confessed his feelings to a classmate he liked. They ended up dating, but things went downhill shortly after.

“Because I was so shy, I couldn’t act naturally with her now that she was my girlfriend,” Suga said. “I didn’t pay attention to her and compared to how our relationship was when we were just friends, there was a clear difference. Our relationship became awkward more than anything.”

It didn’t take long before the girl broke up with Suga. He admitted that, after their breakup, he reflected on the relationship and understood how his behavior contributed to the breakup.

“I would think about everything I did wrong and how I could better myself. I also think back now about those days and wish I would’ve behaved differently,” Suga explained. “If I could go back, I would treat her way better and I know I could do more for her. I would tell her I loved her and liked her proudly.”

He ended the letter with a message to his ex-girlfriend, writing, “I am very sorry for treating you that way. You must’ve felt so hurt when I behaved like that. I personally think back and look at it as a good memory now. Thank you for making that memory with me.”

Did other BTS members have girlfriends?

Although the members of BTS do not go public with their relationships as celebrities, some of them have been open about having girlfriends before in the past.

For example, RM once shared on the show Problematic Men that he had a girlfriend in high school. However, she had many guy friends, and that was hard for RM to deal with as he began to doubt himself.
