BTS is one of the biggest boy bands in the world, releasing songs like “Boy With Luv” and “Life Goes On.” Now, they’ve created their own meal with the fast-food chain, McDonald’s.

What’s included with this collaboration? Here’s what we know about the meal and what makes it so special for fans in the United States.

BTS has their own meal coming to McDonald’s

They’re one of the world’s biggest boy bands, releasing the Grammy-nominated song “Dynamite” and becoming the first K-pop group to perform at the award ceremony. They collaborated with artists like Halsey, Charli XCX, and Sia.

Now, they’re collaborating with McDonald’s to bring a meal to fans across the globe. The BTS McDonald’s meal drops during May 2021 and is expected to remain on the fast-food chain’s menu for several weeks.

“BTS truly lights up the world stage, uniting people across the globe through their music,” said Morgan Flatley, Chief Marketing Officer, McDonald’s USA in a statement. “We’re excited to bring customers even closer to their beloved band in a way only McDonald’s can – through our delicious food – when we introduce the BTS signature order on our menu next month.”

BTS wouldn’t be the first celebrity to collaborate with McDonald’s. In the past, artists like Travis Scott and J Balvin collaborated with the chain, bringing their favorite menu items to fans.

Does BTS have their own McDonald’s burger?

The BTS meal includes iconic McDonald’s fries and some of the members’ “favorite menu items.” Unlike the “Cactus Jack” meal, the BTS McDonald’s meal will not come with a personalized hamburger.

The BTS meal at this fast-food chain includes a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries, a medium Coke. There will also be Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces, two items that are new to the U.S. locations of McDonald’s.

Because this is separate from the “happy meal,” this celebrity order will, presumably, not include a toy. ARMYs do expect some goodies for fans, though, especially because other BTS-themed products included photo cards of the members.

McDonald’s has a release schedule for their collaboration with these artists

In true BTS fashion, ARMYs are getting plenty of content in junction with this collaboration, including concept pictures. June comes with a “Behind the Sauce: Making of Film,” featuring the award-winning artists.

This wouldn’t be the first time BTS collaborated with one of the world’s biggest brands. Samsung created its own “Galaxy Buds” inspired by the artists, while Starbucks created its line of treats and drinkware. BTS also became brand ambassadors for the fashion house, Louis Vuitton.

The “Life Goes On” music video by BTS is now available for streaming on YouTube. The K-pop group’s deluxe album, titled Be, is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and most major streaming platforms.
