BTS’ V Thinks He Can Dress ‘Prettier’ in the Winter Than in Summer
BTS’ V may hate shoes, but he still loves winter fashion. The “Inner Child” singer believes he dresses “prettier” in the winter than in the summer, which totally makes sense considering his birthday. Here’s what we learned about V and his thoughts on winter and fashion.
The BTS members aren’t afraid to explore fashion
BTS is an award-winning boy band known for “Butter,” “Dynamite,” “Permission to Dance,” “Life Goes On,” and other recently released originals. Aside from music, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are known for their philanthropy and their shared interest in fashion.
The idols recently became brand ambassadors for the French luxury fashion company Louis Vuitton. They sported Gucci outfits, elaborated on their choices to get piercings (or to not get piercings), and shared how fashion influences their stage performances.
“I dress up with colorful and brilliant [garments] to maximize the impact of performance,” J-Hope said during a 2017 interview with Paste Magazine. “We also wear bold accessories on stage. If you look close, you’ll notice that each in-ear wireless mic has a customized design per BTS member. Everyone has different designs.”
“I sometimes get inspired by BTS stage [garments] and often get some styling ideas from other BTS members. It really depends on how your day goes,” Jimin added in the same interview.
BTS’ V thinks he can dress ‘prettier’ in colder months
These idols appeared in an exclusive interview with GQ Korea in 2022, discussing fashion and their season preferences. That includes Kim Taehyung, who said that he prefers winter to summer.
“I’m not sure if it’s because I was born in winter, but I like winter the best,” V said, according to an English translation on the YouTube video, referencing his Dec. 30 birth date. “In the winter, I always leave my Christmas tree at home, listen to carol songs, and feel somewhat warm when I listen to jazz. That has [a] winter vibe.”
“And one peculiarity of mine is that I can dress prettier in winter than in summer,” V continued.
The idol added that he doesn’t wear padded jackets in the winter, telling GQ followers not to listen to his fashion and instead dress warmly for cold weather. Of course, BTS’ V had several iconic fashion moments, even dressing up to visit the airport and stunning with a galaxy-esque shirt during one live performance of “Pied Piper.”
BTS’ V released the song ‘Winter Bear’ in 2019
This BTS member loves winter so much that he created a solo song about it. In 2019, the artist released “Winter Bear” and its corresponding YouTube music video, earning over 95 million views.
Of course, V often shares his love for his dog, Yeontan. He also shares his passion for music with other solo songs. That includes “Inner Child” from Map of the Soul: 7 and “Singularity” from Love Yourself: Tear. In 2022, this artist confirmed that his solo mixtape is officially in the works.
