He’s the artist behind songs “Stigma,” and “Winter Bear.” Outside of his role in BTS, V is known as one of the “Hottest Men of 2020,” according to fans on Ranker. Here’s what we know about this idol.

V is ranked on the list of ‘The Hottest Men of 2020’

He’s a good boy, although some fans may argue with that. V is one of the singers in BTS, also functioning as a songwriter, dancer, and “visual” for the boy band. Together with members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook, this artist appeared in songs “Dynamite” and “Life Goes On,” earning international awards in the process.

Sure, he’s known for his visuals within the BTS ARMY, but even on a global scale, V earns recognition for being handsome. With over a million users participating in Ranker’s list of “The Hottest Men of 2020,” V earned over 13,000 votes, landing a spot in the Top 10.

Sitting at 7th place, Kim Taehyung, also known by this stage name V, was beat out by actors Chris Evans, Michael B. Jordan, Tom Holland, Liam Hemsworth, and, in the top spot, Chris Hemsworth.

Jin and J-Hope previously ranked on the same list for 2019

For the “Hottest Men of 2019” Ranker list, Chris Hemsworth still landed the top spot. However, several BTS members were recognized. “Worldwide Handsome” Jin is ranked #21 on this list. RM, also known as Kim Namjoon, is #22. J-Hope, also known by his real name Jung Hoseok, is #28.

Outside of fan ranking, some BTS members earned titles for their looks. Jungkook, the youngest member of the group, was named People’s “Sexiest International Man” for 2020, becoming the first person to earn the title.

V has recently been working on music with BTS

Sometimes V writes solo music, like the all-English single “Winter Bear” and the 2020 release “Snow Flower.” Other times, V writes the group songs for the boy band. That includes some off of Be (Deluxe Edition,) like the track titled “Blue & Grey.”

“I usually write a lot of songs when I’m feeling emotional, but these days I have so many different things to do that I can’t really write anything,” V said of writing “Blue & Grey,” according to a translated interview from All K-Pop. I tried to write something before when I had a little time, but nothing came out because the feelings I had were already gone.”

“So I tell myself, ‘You gotta write a lot when you’ve got the feels!’ And then I open my notes app and come back to old notes, like, ‘Ah, so that’s how I was feeling back then?’ I see,’” he continued. “‘Well, that’s how I used to be, I guess.’ So I tried to write ‘Blue & Grey’ quickly, as soon as a big feeling came on.”
