BTS Still Wins Halloween With Their ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Inspired Costumes
There are seven members in BTS and there are seven dwarfs in Disney’s iconic animated film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It only made sense for Jungkook to suggest the characters for a group Halloween costume.
The BTS members sometimes share their love for Halloween
They’re the award-winning K-pop group behind songs like “Permission to Dance,” “Boy With Luv,” and “Life Goes On.” BTS sometimes performs holiday concerts for fans, even sharing their love for the October holiday, Halloween.
Since their debut, these artists shared Halloween pictures with fans. There have been a few iconic outfits throughout the years. In 2014, Jin dressed as Jack Sparrow, while Suga dressed as the evil doll named Chucky.
According to Korea Herald, “in 2015, they were lazy egg Gudetama (RM), a pumpkin (Jin), Naruto (Suga), Star Wars’ Darth Vader (J-hope), Mickey Mouse (Jimin), a vampire (V) and Japanese manga character Conan (Jungkook).”
The BTS members dressed as ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ for a Halloween dance rehearsal
During one Bangtan video, the BTS members rehearsed choreography for “Go Go.” Because the video clip was posted to YouTube just days before Halloween, these artists decided to dress as Disney animated characters from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Or rather, Snow White and the Six Dwarfs.
J-Hope revealed that the whole thing was Jungkook’s idea. With a game of rock paper scissors, the members decided who would dress as Snow White. RM knew it would V after having a dream about the performance.
It was down to Jin and V. When Jin won the final game, V dressed as the Disney princess. He even held an apple during the rehearsal. Since being posted to YouTube, this dance practice video earned over 200 million views, with some fans returning to it every Halloween.
The BTS members starred in the ‘Disney Holiday Singalong’
This Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs-themed dance rehearsal was recorded several years ago. This wouldn’t be the first (or last) time the BTS members shared their love for Disney characters.
One RUN BTS episode involved the BTS members voicing several beloved Disney characters, like Woody and Buzz from Toy Story, Scar from The Lion King, as well as the unlikely duo of Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps from Zootopia.
The BTS members haven’t officially starred in a Disney movie, although some fans petitioned for Jimin to appear as Prince Eric in the live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid. However, the boy band (minus Suga) partnered with this company for the Disney Holiday Singalong, performing “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” during the 2020 television special.
The “Permission to Dance” music video by BTS is now available for streaming on YouTube. Music by this boy band is available for streaming on music platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.
