Super Bowl fans are going to be saying “there’s no place like the Land of Loud Flavors” after they are transported into the Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda’s fantasy world designed from celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s imagination.

Fieri told Showbiz Cheat Sheet the brand approached him about doing a Super Bowl spot and said the splashy, colorful fantasy world the Bud Light Seltzer team built blew him away. “When I got the call from the Bud Light Seltzer team, I was like, ‘Are you serious? Don’t punk me!'” he exclaimed. “I’m getting drafted to go to the biggest stage in the world with the loudest flavor in a can!”

Spot the Easter Eggs in Guy Fieri’s Super Bowl Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda spot and win big

The 60-second spot premiering during the Super Bowl is a lot like Fieri’s food – crammed with flavor, boldness, and massive amounts of creativity. The ad shows a group of friends cracking open a Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda can when their refrigerator opens, and through the smoke, two Guy Fieri look-a-likes emerge to transport the friends to the Land of Loud Flavors –– through the fridge.

As they explore the Land of Loud Flavors on their way to see the mayor (Fieri), they cross a bridge designed to resemble Fieri’s signature sunglasses. They see groups of revelers at a diner, and the ad is packed with other Easter eggs that reflect Fieri’s signature style.

“I said why don’t when people watch the commercial, let them find some Easter eggs in it,” Fieri suggested. “And make a little competition and give people prizes. We’re having a contest called ‘Get Your Name in the Big Game.’ We’re going to give one fan a chance to have their name in the Super Bowl spot.”

Now through February 8, fans can enter the “Get Your Name in the Big Game” sweepstakes by posting on social using #LandofLoudFlavors and #Sweepstakes or by entering at landofloudflavors.com

The mystical Land of Loud Flavors was created from his imagination

Fieri said the Super Bowl spot exceeded his imagination. “I have to be honest with you, this mystical place that everybody’s had in their mind that I’ve talked about for years, this team … I think they’re residents,” Fieri said about the ad’s designers. “And I think that they’ve been there because they were able to put it into play. Because it’s what was in my mind. We talked about like what flows in the river – Willy Wonka stuff.”

He said filming the spot, which used a slew of cutting-edge CGI effects, was a magical experience even before he got on set. “In the parking lot, I’m watching people walk by in what looks like my chef coat, but made out of leather. And with bleached hair. I’m like, ‘they went off the hook. These folks have lost their mind!’ And a whole bunch of them walked by, and I’m like, ‘Oh, this is for real.'”

Fieri recalled getting into costume was a transformative experience. “I wanted to have this Neo-Matrix-esque feel,” he said. Fieri rocked a deep red leather jacket and his signature shades. He’s greeted by a selection of Bud Light Seltzer Hard Sodas and creates a thunderous reaction when he opens the can. Fieri proclaims, “Citizens, there’s a new flavor in town. I declare Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda the loudest flavors ever.” People in the Land of Loud Flavors rejoice.

Guy Fieri shares why he loves the ‘loud’ taste of Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda

Fieri shared why he loves Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda. “And so here’s the great thing about it,” he said about the spiked hard soda. “They spent a tremendous amount of time making the cola. And it’s the favorite cola that you remember. You know, everybody’s got their cola, but it’s a spiked cola.”

“It’s a great citrusy flavor in the citrus soda,” he continued. “It’s real cherry cola where you could define the cherry in the cola. And then my favorite, of course, the orange. It just reminds me of being younger. It takes you way back and then on top of it all, it’s hard, so it has a spike to it.”
