Caelynn Miller-Keyes Said Connor Saeli Actually Had ‘No Chance’ With Her on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’
Those who watched Bachelor in Paradise know all about Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Dean Unglert’s love story. The duo first met on the show and had a rough go at things in the beginning, as Unglert left without Miller-Keyes. Once Unglert was off the show, Miller-Keyes met Connor Saeli — and it seemed like she was going to commit to a relationship with him.
Now, Miller-Keyes is talking about her experience. And it seems she was never actually that into Saeli. Here’s what she said.
Caelynn Miller-Keyes had to choose between Dean Unglert and Connor Saeli on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’
Miller-Keyes immediately hit it off with Unglert when she met him on Bachelor in Paradise. Unfortunately, their romance was initially short-lived. While Miller-Keyes was hopeful she and Unglert could work out as a couple, Unglert felt stifled by the idea of a long-term relationship, and he ditched the show on Miller-Keyes’ birthday.
Miller-Keyes grieved her loss momentarily — but once Saeli from Hannah Brown’s Bachelorette season entered the show, she had her sights set on him. The two went on a date and really seemed to hit it off. But their relationship didn’t last long either, as Unglert returned to the show once he realized how much he cared for Miller-Keyes.
Miller-Keyes had a tough decision to make when it came to Saeli and Unglert. While her friends in Paradise wanted her to stick with Saeli, she ultimately chose Unglert and left the show with him shortly after.
Miller-Keyes said Saeli never actually had a chance with her
Bachelor in Paradise made it seem as if Miller-Keyes was truly torn between choosing Saeli or Unglert. At the end of the day, though, it seems Miller-Keyes always had her heart set on Unglert.
Miller-Keyes spoke on Unglert and Jared Haibon’s podcast, Help! I Suck at Dating … and answered some questions. And she verified that Saeli actually had “no chance” with her on the show.
“While Saeli didn’t have a shot with Miller-Keyes, it seems she also wasn’t sure if things would work out with Unglert. “I knew we had a super strong connection, and I was like, there’s no way I could leave this beach with anyone else,” Miller-Keyes noted. “Like, it’s Dean, and I knew that. But I was hesitant because he just dumped me, he was a little bit afraid of commitment it seemed, and our lives seemed very different.”
Miller-Keyes and Unglert are still going strong
While Miller-Keyes had her reservations about Unglert back in the Bachelor in Paradise days, they’ve officially been together for over a year. And it looks like their relationship is as strong as ever. The couple even wears commitment rings to show that they’re not just a fling.
“I don’t need the title of ‘husband’ to show the world I’m committed to one person,” Unglert explained. “The fact that I’m wearing the ring is showing just that. I’m committed to Caelynn and only Caelynn. And that’s why I’ve worn it. … It’s not a traditional marriage or engagement ring. But it’s our little way of telling the world — or the people we’re around — that we’re committed to each other.”
It looks like Miller-Keyes and Unglert have wedding plans on the brain for the future, though. On the podcast, they mentioned marriage is in their future a few times, but they’re not rushing down the aisle. As for Saeli, we’re hoping he finds his dream woman soon enough!
