Camila Cabello Listed Her $3.95 Million Los Angeles House for Sale 1 Week Before Announcing Breakup With Shawn Mendes

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes announced their breakup in November
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello released a joint statement announcing their breakup on their Instagram Stories on Nov. 17. The musicians dated for about two years and collaborated on two smash hits, “Señorita” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
“Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever ❤️,” both stars shared in their Instagram Stories. “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward ❤️❤️❤️ Camila and Shawn.”
Cabello and Mendes seem to be on friendly terms, and they both still have several photos of each other on their Instagram pages.
Camila Cabello listed her Los Angeles house for sale one week before announcing her breakup with Shawn Mendes
Although Cabello publicly announced her breakup from Mendes, she was much quieter about listing her $3.95 million home for sale.
According to Dirt, the singer paid about $3.4 million for the 3,500-square-foot home in April 2019. Cabello bought the house just a few months before going public with her relationship with Mendes.
The listing on Compass says that the house boasts a saltwater pool, three fireplaces, and an in-ground spa. The home also has “retracting walls of glass and refurbished wood [to] eliminate any barrier between indoor and outdoor living” and “a state-of-the-art recording studio, as well as a professional vocal booth inside the attached two-car garage.”
Cabello listed her LA house for sale just a week before revealing her split from Mendes. Could this mean that she and Mendes had already broken up and planned to move out? Or did listing the house cause tension in their relationship? Either way, the timing of the listing and the breakup certainly make the events seem related.
The former couple experienced some bad luck in the house
Cabello’s house located just above the Sunset Strip may have been a source of bad luck in her relationship with Mendes. The property was broken into and robbed while the couple was home in March.
According to TMZ, the burglars broke in through a window but quickly left when they realized Mendes and Cabello were home. They grabbed the keys to Mendes’ G-Wagon (the Mercedes-Benz G-Class) and stole the car on their way out.
The car was later recovered and returned to Mendes in good condition, but no arrests were made. Cabello’s house now has “security cameras, alarm, and prewired intercom throughout,” according to the listing.
