Captain Jason Finds the Perfect Sunset for a Magical ‘Below Deck Down Under’ Wedding [Exclusive Clip]
Captain Jason Chambers officiates a Below Deck Down Under wedding and he and the crew make magic happen as the sun sets in the breathtaking Whitsunday Islands.
In an exclusive clip shared with Showbiz Cheat Sheet, the crew gets ready to host a wedding on board M/Y Thalassa. Deckhand Brittini Burton worries about her wrinkled uniform shirt because the crew wants everything to be perfect. But Chambers wants to make sure everyone can soak in the gorgeous sunset. He calls to the crew on the radio, “Let’s go! The mountains are going to block the sunset.”
Captain Jason finds the perfect time to officiate the ‘Below Deck Down Under’ wedding
Chambers moves the wedding party into place so they don’t miss the sunset. Of course, the sunset magnificence isn’t lost on the guests as they marvel at the scenery. “We made it,” Chambers is heard telling the crew as they get into place for the ceremony.
Chambers begins the ceremony as the sun dances above the mountains in the background. “Your union will share your joys, sorrows, and dreams as one,” he tells the couple. A collective “Awww” is heard from the congregation. Chambers continues with the ceremony and then lets the happy couple share their vows with one another.
Peta tells Charity, “I’m proud to be with you. And even more proud to call you my wife.”
Charity says, “My greatest adventure has been following my heart’s navigation to yours. I love you and I cannot wait to see where we sail next.” Meanwhile, the crew gets emotional hearing the vows.
‘Below Deck’ vows sealed with a kiss
The brides seal their vows with a kiss and everyone cheers. They toss the bouquet and now it is time to party. Chef Nate Post was seen cooking in the galley kitchen. And stew Tumi Mhlongo decorated the deck for the wedding reception.
The entire crew pitched in for the wedding and for just about every event. Chambers especially went the extra mile and was very involved in hands-on preparation. “So Jason literally became my fourth stew,” chief stew Aesha Scott said on Hannah Ferrier’s Dear Reality, You’re Effed podcast.
“We had a wedding ceremony,” she recalled. “And he put the arch up for me. He wrapped lights around the arch. He put candles out. Every time we had some sort of theme party, he’s out there, ‘Aesha, what can I do?’ He’s putting up my decorations. Provisions come, he’s running them up to the storage for me. Doing my dishes, taking out the rubbish, anything that I needed.”
‘Below Deck Down Under’ does it all again on Bravo
The Below Deck Down Under season may be winding down on Peacock but it is only getting started on Bravo. Beginning on Monday, July 11, fans can watch Below Deck Down Under on Bravo at 9:15/8:15c.
Scott told Bravo Insider she had a blast filming this season. “I just feel like I spent so much of the season just laughing my head off. And I think that this mix of crew, we were so good at egging each other on, and there really are just so many hysterical moments. So I think that it’s just such a funny season,” she said. “There is a lot of drama. And it’s just gonna be so entertaining. So I just can’t wait for everyone to see.”
