Fans Are Convinced Cardi B’s New Pearl Braids Have a Hidden Message
Having a relationship in the public eye is always going to be a challenge. However, when one partner is constantly unfaithful, humiliating the other, the challenges often become insurmountable. Rappers Cardi B and Offset have been married since 2017 and they share a two-year-old daughter, Kulture. However, nothing about their relationship has been easy.
The “Money” and Migos rapper appeared to be perfectly matched. Unfortunately, Offset could not be a faithful husband, even after Cardi forgave his infidelity previously. Now, the “WAP” rapper is pulling the plug on her marriage.
Though the Bronx-born rapper has filed for divorce, fans just noticed a hidden message in her new pearl hairstyle.
Inside Cardi B and Offset’s divorce
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Cardi and Offset’s divorce is going to be amicable. People is reporting that the Invasion of Privacy rapper filed for divorce in Atlanta on Sept. 15.
In the documents, Cardi notes that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and that “there are no prospects for reconciliation.” She has since amended the paperwork to ask for joint custody of Kulture, but she is also asking for spousal support.
It looks like Cardi hinted at her divorce shortly before filing. On her Instagram story, she posted a meme that read, “Her heart finally told her to stop wasting her time. It’s time.”
This is why Cardi B is ending her marriage to Offset
Cardi has always been open about the trials and tribulations of her marriage. She has even said her next album will echo Beyoncé’s Lemonade. In the past, she’s gotten candid about why she wanted to stay in an effort to make things work with her husband. “I want to work out my s*** with my man, and I don’t got to explain why,” she told Cosmopolitan in 2018.
Now, two years, later, the rapper is explaining why she’s done. On a recent Instagram Live, she revealed,
The reason for my divorce is not because of none of that sh*t that ever happened before. It’s not because of cheating. I’m seeing people be like, ‘Oh, he has a baby on the way.’ That’s a whole f***ing complete lie. That’s the second time people are trying to pin babies over here. No, that’s bulls**t. I just got tired of f***ing arguing. I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye. When you feel like it’s just not the same anymore, before you actually get cheated on, I’d rather just leave.

Though it appears that Cardi is done with Offset, her new pearl braids have fans raising their eyebrows. The New York native hopped to on Instagram to share her new hair. She had her hair intricately braided in an “S” shape cornrow draped in pearls.
Created by @tokyostylez aka Mia Jackson, Cardi captioned the photo, “All white and pearly.” Though the hair was the focal point, fans also noticed something else about the photo. Cardi was wearing her massive wedding ring.
The photo could certainly be from the archives, leading into the days when Cardi decided to end her marriage or she could just be wearing the ring to set off the look. Either way, it’s stunning.
