Cardi B Thanks ‘Adorable’ Selena Gomez for New Son’s Baby Gift
Last month, Cardi B welcomed a new member to her family with fellow musician Offset. Now, the rapper is thanking singer and actor Selena Gomez for sending a special gift to celebrate the birth of her son.

Cardi B gave birth to her second child with Offset in September
28-year-old Cardi B and her husband, 29-year-old Offset, just welcomed their second child together into the world.
The rapper gave birth to a son on Saturday, Sept. 4, and announced his arrival to the world on Instagram the following Monday.
The announcement photo shows Cardi B and Offset in a hospital bed, covered by a Louis Vuitton blanket. They both stare lovingly down at their son, who is concealed by a bundle of blue blankets. “9/4/21🦕💙🧸,” she captioned the tender photo.
“We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son,” the couple shared in a statement to People. “He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”
Cardi and Offset already share their 3-year-old daughter Kulture. Offset is also father to daughter Kalea, 6, and sons Kody, 6, and Jordan, 11, from previous relationships.
Selena Gomez sent her fellow singer a thoughtful baby gift
Selena Gomez has a plethora of famous friends, including Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato. It seems that the “Hands To Myself” singer also counts Cardi B among her friends, based on the sweet baby gift she sent the rapper.
In her Instagram Stories, Cardi B showcased the present she received from 29-year-old Gomez.
“I got this beautiful gift basket,” Cardi said in the video (per People), “With this little bear from Selena Gomez. It’s so cute, and it’s got treats for me when, you know, I’m rocking the baby to sleep at night. You know I get hungry in the nighttime. This is so cute.
“Thank you, Selena Gomez! You’re so adorable,” she laughed excitedly.
Selena Gomez and Cardi B have worked together in the past
For those wondering how Cardi B and Selena Gomez know each other, the two musicians collaborated on the DJ Snake song “Taki Taki” back in 2018.
And in March of this year, Cardi B expressed that she is a big fan of Gomez after the “Come & Get It” singer hinted in an interview that she wanted to put her music career on the back burner to focus on acting.
“I don’t think Selena should retire. She makes good music & her fans love her,” the “Bodak Yellow” rapper tweeted at the time. “I think she needs one more Era. An edgy one that no one ever seen her as. I would love to give her some ideas.”
Less than an hour after that, Cardi B also tweeted, “I like Selena tho. I defend her cause she is such a sweetheart in person. Us celebs get picked apart all the time but she is just too sweet to go thru that. If she wants to leave, leave cause you want to not cause of these f—ers.”
It’s clear that the two women support and care about each other. Despite what Gomez hinted about taking a break from music, perhaps she and Cardi B will collaborate on more songs in the future.
