Aside from having an amazing career, Underwood is also known for her dedication to fitness. She has an activewear line called CALIA and recently released a book called Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life.

Carrie Underwood prioritizes fitness and staying healthy
Fitness is a very important part of Underwood’s life. In fact, the 37-year-old star even called it her “therapy.”
“Making exercise a priority changed my life,” Underwood wrote in Find Your Path. “I don’t know how I would have made it this far without working out to keep me going. For me, fitness is my therapy. It’s my way to blow off steam. When everything else is nutso in my life, at least I know what I’m doing for the 45 to 90 minutes that I’m working out. That time is just for me.”
Of course, fitness is not just a way to help her deal with all the stressful moments around her. For Underwood, being fit will also allow her to be in her best health for her children.
She shared: “If I had to pick the number one reason I exercise, it’s that I want to be around for my children as they grow up. I want to know them as adults. I want to know their children and their children’s children. I want to be that hundred-year-old granny who is out there hustling, who’s still bringing it.”
Carrie Underwood changes up her workouts for different seasons and holidays
Underwood is very flexible with her workout routines. She recently revealed to Shape that she likes to listen to her body and changes up her routine depending on the season.
For example, Underwood shared that in the winter, she tends to do less cardio. Rather, she prefers to focus on lifting weights, especially since this will help her make use of the holiday calories to build muscles.
Meanwhile, in the summer, Underwood likes “to feel lighter,” so she is more likely to run and do cardio.

Underwood also does not rely on heavy gym equipment to stay fit. She often goes on tours all over the world, so Underwood has learned to create workouts with anything that she can find.
“I’ve become an expert at working out with nothing! I’m great at putting things together, and thinking: ‘What do I have around me that I can use?'” Underwood told Shape. “You just have to think outside the box, and get creative.”
Additionally, Underwood tries to carry around an ab wheel, resistance bands, or jump ropes. They are lightweight things that can help her exercise just about anywhere.
Carrie Underwood focuses on eating healthy instead of losing weight
A large part of fitness is also about eating healthy food.
Underwood has been open about the fact that, in the early days of her career, she used to have periods where she ate as little as 800 calories a day in order to lose weight. However, she has since understood that such eating habits were not good for her body.
These days, Underwood cares more about being healthy as opposed to being skinny. Her daily meals include a lot of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins.
