‘The Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond Recalls Her First Pair of Cowgirl Boots
“The Pioneer Woman” star Ree Drummond often refers to herself as an “accidental country girl.” Well, one thing this country girl knew she had to have if she was going to live on a ranch is a pair of cowgirl boots. In the latest issue of The Pioneer Woman magazine, a reader asks Drummond if she remembers her first pair of cowgirl boots. Here’s what the Food Network star shared about her boots.

If you regularly watch “The Pioneer Woman” on TV, one question you might have is where the home cook buys her cowgirl boots. “The Pioneer Woman” star says her favorite pair of cowboy boots are made by a company called Lucchese. “I pronounce it ‘Loo-kay-see,’ but some people say ‘Loo-chess,’” said Drummond in her blog post. She told her fans she was immediately drawn to a pair of light brown boots she purchased from the retailer.
One thing Drummond notes is that boots from this company tend to be on the pricey side. As of this writing, the most expensive boots on their website are $3,995. The least expensive Lucchese boot is $295. Other brands purchased by Drummond include Frye and Junk Gypsy boots by Lane.

In the Fall 2019 issue of “The Pioneer Woman” magazine, a reader asks Drummond about her first pair of cowgirl boots. “Do you remember when you got your first pair of cowgirl boots? What did they look like?” asked the reader. Drummond responds that she went out and got a new pair of cowgirl boots right after meeting her husband, Ladd. The Marlboro Man must have really made a big impression on her. Here’s what Drummond said about her first pair of cowgirl boots:
It was definitely after I met Ladd! If memory serves, they were a little boring. I thought I was doing the right thing by staying understated because I wasn’t really a cowgirl, but they were brown and drab. I think I wore them once. I got my first pair of cute cowgirl boots when my girls were little. I have five or six pairs now! (OK, seven.)
