Charli D’Amelio Once Revealed What She and Sister Dixie Often Fight About
Charli D’Amelio and her older sister, Dixie, are one of the most famous siblings on TikTok. The two sisters often entertain fans with their many videos on the platform. These days, they have also expanded their brand into other places, such as YouTube and podcasting.
It’s clear to many onlookers that Charli and Dixie are extremely close. However, even the closest of sisters can still have conflicts. Charli once revealed that she and Dixie often fight about this one thing.
Charli D’Amelio and Dixie D’Amelio used to not be close
Charli and Dixie are like two peas in a pods now, but they were not always close growing up. In an interview with NBC’s Gadi Schwartz last year, Charli shared that she often felt she was living in her older sister’s shadow.
“When I was younger, people used to say that I was the ugly sister or the fat sister,” Charli said. “I always wanted to be just like Dixie because she always seemed like—she was so happy and she had so many friends.”
Charli added, “At this point in our lives, we weren’t that close, so we didn’t talk often. Especially, we didn’t talk about our feelings.”
Things changed for their relationship later on when Charli and Dixie began going to school together. Charli shared that this allowed the two of them to talk and bond with each other.
“I feel like I was able to learn so much about her and so much about who she is and be able to look up to her even more,” Charli explained.
Charli D’Amelio and Dixie D’Amelio are now supportive of each other
These days, Charli and Dixie are nothing but supportive of each other. Although they often work on the same platforms, they lift each other up instead of seeing each other as competition, especially since they are unique in their own way.
“Charli and I are two different people, and we’ve always tried to never be in competition,” Dixie told Insider. “I don’t want to do what she’s doing. I don’t want to be a dancer, because that’s her thing and I have my thing.”
Dixie also told Schwartz that she admires her younger sister a lot. She said, “She handles everything very well. I know that when I was 15 I would not be able to do anything that she’s doing.”

Charli and Dixie have a lot of love for each other, but they still run into conflicts from time to time. In an interview with High Snobiety, Charli revealed that they often fight about clothes.
“I mean, we’re teenage sisters,” Charli shared. “So, obviously, we get into disagreements. It’s usually about clothes. We’re the same size, so I tend to wear a lot of her clothes.”
However, Charli reassured readers that she and Dixie don’t stay mad at each other for long. She explained, “Our fights usually last two seconds and then we’re over it and, like, ‘Hey, wanna go for a car ride?’”
