The new wave of Generation Z celebrities is found on TikTok — with sisters Charli and Dixie D’Amelio leading the way. The two girls blew up on the video-sharing app in 2019. The youngest of the family, Charli, even scored a Dunkin’ sponsorship deal. The older sister, Dixie, has started making music. Lately, she has been promoting it in a unique manner — through a secret TikTok account.

The younger sister rose to fame in 2019 after helping popularize the dance to “Renegade,” created by Jalaiah Harmon. Charli found herself rising in follower count as people were mesmerized by her expert dancing skills. Her older sister, Dixie, also created content on TikTok.

Dixie was accepted into the University of Alabama and was planning on pursuing higher education. But other opportunities came her way. She instead opted out of college, and moved with her family from Connecticut to LA to become a full-time influencer.

The two sisters have a podcast together. Also, Dixie has her own YouTube channel and show, The Early Late Night Show. She has had guests on the show such as Hailey Bieber and Addison Rae Easterling.

Dixie has always been vocal that she’s not a dancer like Charli, and has been interested in carving her own path separate from her sister. She made that a reality on June 26, 2020, when she put out her first song, “Be Happy.” The song was Dixie opening up about her experience with mental illness. Her younger sister helped with the promo by including the song in her TikTok videos. Charli has more than 113 million followers on the platform.

Dixie’s next song, “Naughty List,” was a duet with One Direction member Liam Payne. She released it on Oct. 30, 2020. Less than two months later, in early December, Dixie dropped “One Whole Day” with rapper Wiz Khalifa. Before the end of the month, she shared a music video for her song “Roommates.”

For her next song, she has moved to a less traditional way of marketing the track. She has featured it as audio on a secret TikTok account that isn’t her verified profile with more than 50 million followers.

The influencer is now promoting a new song on secret TikTok profile

Dixie created a TikTok account (that is unverified) with many videos using audio of an unreleased track with her singing. She shared the first video on Feb. 18, and proceeded to use the audio in more videos on the secret profile. The account, titled “user768jjy3no7” but under her full name, has more than 2 million followers.

She also showcased the song over otherwise unreleased videos of Charli, Noah Beck, Avani Gregg, Chase Hudson, and the song’s creator Olivia O’Brien.

So far, the lyrics that have been released as audio are as follows: “Cause you’re just a f*ckboy, you’re just a f*ckboy, don’t need another f*ckboy.”

Another lyric the singer released was: “You always thinking you have me, but the only way that you have me is so f*cked up.”

More information on the song’s release is currently to be determined.
