Fans want to know if Chicago Fire Season 10 is new tonight, March 23, 2022. Unfortunately, One Chicago fans will have to wait for new episodes. Chicago Fire still airs at 9 p.m. on March 23, but it’s not a new episode. Season 10 episode 5, “Two Hundred,” airs as a rerun during the show’s typical timeslot.

So, when will new episodes return? According to Looper, fans can expect Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 17 to air on April 6, 2022. The reason for the two-week hiatus remains unclear, but fans can expect more of the show when it returns.

Additionally, Chicago Fire Season 11 will definitely film once season 10 comes to a close, so fans can expect even more new content in the future. According to One Chicago Center, fans can expect a season 11 release date around September 2022 — though another hiatus will surely happen before the next season airs.

Is Sylvie Brett leaving ‘Chicago Fire’? She was absent in season 10 episode 16

With no new Chicago Fire Season 10 episode on March 23, fans have lingering questions from episode 16. Is Sylvie Brett leaving Chicago FIre?

Brett wasn’t in episode 16, as she mentioned in the previous episode that she needed to see her long-distance boyfriend, Matt Casey. “I just got hit by this wave of all the things I miss about him,” Brett told Stella Kidd and Violet Mikami. “That warmth, you know, the way he could be so strong but also kind and he has that gift of making everyone feel like everything’s going to be OK.”

Matt Casey (played by Jesse Spencer) left earlier in the season, and Brett’s absence is making fans wonder if actor Kara Killmer is also planning to leave. But it seems fans will see more Brett in the future. In February 2022, showrunner Derek Haas told Variety that having a long-distance relationship in the show felt “realistic.”

“It would have felt like cheating after having them building that relationship over so many seasons, and then just throwing it away because of production demand,” Haas explained.

What can fans expect when Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 17 airs? A new promo for the upcoming episode airing on April 6 gives a clue.

The promo features a voiceover from Stella Kidd. “Firefighters always say their house is like a family,” Kidd says. “But ours actually is.”

The promo itself features the cast all in firefighting gear at night seemingly tending to an emergency. Then, a clip of a large burning building is shown, followed by someone getting wheeled in a stretcher. Finally, the clip shows a close-up of two people kissing. The kissing couple looks like Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide, which may indicate fans will see more of their romance and upcoming wedding in future episodes.
