The Chicago Fire Season 10 cast has plenty of fan favorites like Miranda Rae Mayo as Stella Kidd, Kara Killmer as Sylvie Brett, Taylor Kinney as Kelly Severide, and plenty more. And fans were extremely sad to see Matt Casey, played by Jesse Spencer, leave the show during season 10. While Spencer’s gone, there’s a new paramedic in town. Caitlin Carver plays Emma Jacobs, a paramedic for Firehouse 51, in the latter half of season 10, One Chicago Center reports.

Chicago Fire has seen plenty of paramedics — and many have left the firehouse. One Chicago Center notes Leslie Shay, played by Lauren German; Gabby Dawson, played by Monica Raymund); and Peter Mills, played by Charlie Barnett; have all taken on roles as paramedics for Firehouse 51.

Currently, Violet Mikami and Sylvie Brett work as the paramedics for the firehouse, and they have a great dynamic going. Will Jacobs disrupt their current dynamic — or could she possibly take one of their places?

Why does Caitlin Carver from the Chicago Fire Season 10 cast look familiar?

She had a major role in Netflix’s Dear White People as Coco Conners’ friend, Muffy Tuttle. IMDb notes she played the reoccurring role for 16 episodes.

Additionally, she played Nancy Kerrigan in I, Tonya. The real-life Kerrigan was attacked and struck in the leg with a collapsible baton. She was Tonya Harding’s skating rival.

In 2016, Carver played Hayley Heinz in The Fosters, which aired on ABC Family. This same year, she also appeared on the NCIS episode titled “React.” She played additional guest spots in S.W.A.T., Timeless, and Heroes Reborn.

Is she taking over for Sylvie Brett?

Is it possible that Caitlin Carver’s Emma Jacobs could be taking over for Kara Killmer’s Sylvie Brett in the Chicago Fire Season 10 cast?

Sylvie Brett and Matt Casey make their relationship work long-distance in Chicago Fire Season 10. But more recently, Sylvie knew she had to see Casey face to face. She left the firehouse for an undetermined amount of time.

So, is Sylvie Brett leaving Chicago Fire — and could this pave the way for Jacobs, the new paramedic, to take her place? Fans shouldn’t worry too much yet, as it’s confirmed Brett actor Kara Killmer will return at some point later in the season.

“Rest assured, Sylvie is not gone for good and will be back,” TVLine verified.

While Brett will certainly return, it’s also rumored that Matt Casey will make a cameo during the finale.

“That would be amazing,” co-showrunner Derek Haas told TVLine during a press junket. “That would be a coup for our show if we could talk Jesse into coming back. So, status on that is all systems looking good. And yes, I talked to him last week, so I’m very hopeful that that’s going happen.”

Chicago Fire Season 10 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
