NBC’s One Chicago fans are excited to see what will happen when Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 13 airs. So far this season, Jason Pelham took on the role of lieutenant after Matt Casey’s departure — but it hasn’t been an easy ride. Now, the synopsis for the upcoming episode hints that more trouble could come to him and his job title.

The ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 10 Episode 13 synopsis could point to trouble for Jason Pelham

Brett Dalton joined the Chicago Fire cast in November 2021, and he’s certainly made an impression. Dalton plays Jason Pelham, the interim lieutenant who initially stepped in to help out with Matt Casey’s duties once Casey made his departure. While fans mourned the loss of Casey, they welcomed Pelham, as he seemed like a good fit for the firehouse.

Later on, he was promoted as a permanent lieutenant for Firehouse 51. But he’s certainly had his troubles in the past. Not only did he get suspended from a previous position for punching a superior officer, but he got into his own trouble at Firehouse 51. Ultimately, Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd stood up for Pelham and helped him along the way, but more trouble might come.

A Reddit user posted the Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 13 synopsis. It seems like the majority of the episode will revolve around Severide and Wendy Seager — but there’s an important note about Pelham. “Pelham moves into 51’s rumored cursed office,” the synopsis reads.

Does Stella Kidd become a lieutenant? She seemingly sacrificed the opportunity for her Girls on Fire program

With Pelham moving into a “cursed office” in Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 13, there’s a good chance fans will see why the office is allegedly cursed. Perhaps this points to a bad move made by Pelham on the job. Or, he could lose his lieutenant position altogether.

Fans remember the controversy over Matt Casey’s lieutenant position. Chief Wallace Boden wanted Stella Kidd to take the position first. So, what happened? While Kidd would’ve liked to take over, her Girls on Fire program made her MIA. Ultimately, Boden gave Pelham the position.

Kidd actor Miranda Rae Mayo hinted her character still wants to advance, though. “I think that she wants to do well,” Mayo told CinemaBlend after stating Kidd “1,000%” wants the position. “I think that that’s very important to her to do, once she steps into that position to be fully committed because that’s what that firehouse deserves.”

If Jason Pelham encounters a “cursed” office in Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 13 that could put his position as a lieutenant in jeopardy, what then? Will he leave Chicago Fire for good?

Showrunner Derek Haas has good news for Pelham fans. He told CinemaBlend that fans will continue to see Pelham on their screens. “We’ll definitely keep seeing Pelham as the season continues,” Haas noted. “We really like him.”

We’ll also see more of Stella Kidd and Pelham working together, too. But it might get complicated. “Brett [Dalton] is really sweet,” Miranda Rae Mayo told the publication. “He’s been wonderful to work with. It’s just bizarre not having Jesse [Spencer] on set… [Matt] Casey was family and Pelham’s a stranger. That’s all. There’s not as much trust in who he is, as there was with Casey.”

Chicago Fire Season 10 returns on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, on NBC.
