Violet gets together with Chief Hawkins in ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 10
Violet attended the same fire academy as Gallo, setting a precedent for the pair to constantly compete with each other. Eventually, their relationship turned romantic, but jealousy and miscommunication got in the way. Earlier in Chicago Fire Season 10, there seemed to be some residing feelings between the two.
However, things took a turn when Hawkins started showing an interest in Violet. As the pair spent more time together, it became apparent that there was an attraction between the two. Gallo took notice, making remarks questioning why the Paramedic Chief was spending so much time at Firehouse 51.
Eventually, Violet and Hawkins got together after the CFD gala. Violet has been attempting to keep their relationship a secret since dating her superior would be frowned upon. Gallo and Sylvie Brett have already been a bit judgemental about the idea of Violet becoming romantically involved with Hawkins.
Episode 16 promo teases tension between Gallo and Hawkins
In Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 13, Gallo questions why Violet never showed up to the “alt gala” they had originally planned. He correctly deduces that Violet was with Hawkins and warns her that “this thing with your boss” makes her look “pretty bad.” Violet angrily responds that Gallo needs to “step back with this jealousy crap.”
Gallo is clearly jealous and the promo for episode 16, titled “Hot and Fast,” teases tensions rising between him and Hawkins. “You’re becoming a regular at 51. I’m sure you’re learning a lot from Violet,” Gallo tells Hawkins. “I like to help out when I can,” he responds. The promo also shows Hawkins asking Violet about her and Gallo, telling her he isn’t sure that Gallo is over her.
Hanko Greensmith previously teased what this forbidden relationship and love triangle will look like moving forward in the season. “You are going to see Violet and Hawkins grapple with the responsibility that comes with their titles at the CFD, mixed with their undeniable attraction to one another, and you are going to see Gallo grapple with his own response to that,” the actor told TV Line.
