Is ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 10 New Tonight, Jan. 26, 2022?
NBC’s One Chicago fans are ready to continue watching Chicago Fire Season 10. The season brought along plenty of surprises, like the return of Stella Kidd, Matt Casey’s exit, and the announcement of a new lieutenant in the form of Jason Pelham. So, is Chicago Fire Season 10 new tonight, Jan. 26, 2022? Here’s everything to know about whether episode 13 will air.
‘Chicago Fire’ Season 10 Episode 12 brought in romances both new and old
Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 12 sparked new and old romances in Firehouse 51. With Stella Kidd’s return to the firehouse, Kelly Severide seemed confused and upset. Kidd left Chicago to pursue her Girls on Fire program, and she failed to properly communicate with Severide in her absence. This led to a massive rift between the two. When Kidd finally (and unexpectedly) returned to the firehouse, it didn’t seem like their relationship would last.
Thankfully, it seems like Kidd and Severide are back on track. While at a gala together, he proposed to her once again, and it seems their future marriage is back on.
Aside from Kidd and Severide, Violet Mikami and Chief Hawkins also brought in the romance. Hawkins kissed Violet in front of the rest of Firehouse 51 while at the gala. They haven’t officially started dating yet, but we anticipate seeing more of them in episode 13.

Is Chicago Fire Season 10 new tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022? While fans are looking forward to what happens next in the firehouse, they’ll have to wait. Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 13 doesn’t air on Jan. 26.
Instead, NBC will air a rerun of season 10 episode 3, “Counting Your Breaths,” during the show’s typical timeslot of 9 p.m. EST.
Sadly, fans will have to wait until after the Winter Olympics air on NBC for episode 13. One Chicago Center reports NBC airs another rerun on Feb. 2, 2022, during the show’s timeslot. Then, the Olympics run from Feb. 4 to Feb. 20. We won’t see new One Chicago content until late February at the earliest.
The rest of the season will likely focus on Stella Kidd’s return and relationship with Kelly Severide
While fans will have to wait a number of weeks before Chicago Fire Season 10 returns, they can look forward to fresh storylines involving Stella Kidd. Showrunner Derek Haas told TV Guide that Kidd and Kelly Severide will “drive the plots” forward for several episodes. Additionally, the dynamic between Kidd and Pelham will develop further.
“There are a few sticky spots because of Kidd being gone as long as she was and not really communicating well, with both Boden and Severide, and those two things are basically how are she and Severide doing as a couple,” Haas said. “And then second, what about this lieutenant spot that was on Truck 81 and she didn’t come and claim it and now the spot has been claimed by Pelham? So, those are two things that can drive the plots of upcoming episodes, and so you’ll be seeing more of that.”
