Who is Don Kilbourne in ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 10?

Jason Pelham is an honest lieutenant, which unfortunately got him into trouble. At one of the firehouses he worked at in the past, Pelham punched his superior in the face. It turns out that this superior was stealing jewelry, and Pelham was kind enough not to tell anyone this information.

However, this earned him quite a few enemies. Deputy District Chief Don Kilbourne particularly dislikes Pelham. He warns Chief Boden that he will “come to regret” giving Pelham a permanent spot at Firehouse 51. In Chicago Fire Season 10 an incident occurs where a firefighter named Sara McBride is injured. Afterward, she states that Pelham gave the order that caused her to get hurt.

It becomes clear that Kilbourne urged McBride to lie in order to get Pelham fired. Eventually, Stella Kidd convinces McBride to take back her statement. Deputy Commissioner Gloria Hill places Kilbourne on administrative leave pending an investigation into McBride’s case.

Jack Conley plays Deputy District Chief Don Kilbourne

Jack Conley portrays Kilbourne in Chicago Fire Season 10. Conley has a very long list of acting credits that date back several decades. The actor commonly appears in crime, mystery, and thriller genres of TV and film. Conley has also appeared in three films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar, according to IMDb.

These films include the 1995 film Apollo 13, in which Conley portrayed a science reporter in one of his earliest roles. The other two films are L.A. Confidential and Traffic. More recently Conley had a role in The Purge: Anarchy. He also portrayed Penning in the 2009 Fast & Furious.

Conley has quite a memorable face and voice. Perhaps this is why he has made guest appearances in so many popular TV shows. He has shown up in Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, House, Supernatural, The Mentalist, and more.

Will Don Kilbourne return after the February break?

After the events of Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 12, Kilbourne is definitely in hot water with his superiors. Gloria Hill puts Kilbourne on administrative leave pending an investigation into McBride’s case. She also mentions that she will be looking into several similar cases as well.

It’s possible that Kilbourne has intimidated other firefighters into lying for him. If that’s the case, he may very well lose his job and not be seen around Firehouse 51 again.

Chicago Fire Season 10 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
