NBC’s Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 20 will bring Violet Mikami and Chief Evan Hawkins’ relationship into the spotlight. Hawkins is Violet’s superior, and they continue to attempt to keep their relationship under wraps. But it’s bound to unravel. Now, executive producer Derek Haas teases a “hot scene” between the couple in episode 20, “Halfway to the Moon.”
‘Chicago Fire’ Season 10 Episode 20 will feature a ‘hot scene’ between Violet and Chief Hawkins
Blake Gallo, Violet Mikami, and Chief Evan Hawkins have a complicated love triangle thus far this season. Gallo and Violet dated in the past, and there could be some lingering feelings there — especially as newcomer Emma Jacobs flirts with Gallo. But Violet remains focused on her relationship with her superior, Hawkins.
Co-showrunner Derek Haas told TVLine that fans can anticipate a “hot scene in the sushi restaurant” between Violet and Chief Hawkins in Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 20. But Gallo’s still very much in the picture.
“Gallo has been sidelined a bit in the friend role, and that’s going to get a little shaken up in the last couple of episodes because he’s really going to step up for Violet in unexpected ways, and that’ll kind of bring him back into this triangle and make the triangle even more complicated than it already was,” co-showrunner Andrea Newman also told the publication.

Executive producer Andrea Newman gave TVLine some insight into Gallo, Violet, and Chief Hawkins moving forward after Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 20. She also told Deadline more intel about the love triangle “complications” to come.
“The Gallo, Hawkins, Violet love triangle is still alive,” she told Deadline. “There’s still a lot of complications between them. It’s not going to be as simple as off she goes with Hawkins. It’s still a tricky situation for all three of them and Gallo ends up very much in between those two.”
Adding Emma Jacobs into the mix also complicates the triangle. Violet remains convinced Emma’s gunning for her job. And Emma’s also made flirting attempts with Gallo, setting alarms off for Violet.
“She’s a very intriguing character who will surprise everybody at every turn,” Newman told Deadline about Emma. “She is driven, strong, and a tough woman with her own agenda that is yet to be revealed.”
When is the ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 10 finale?
The Chicago Fire Season 10 finale is coming soon. Episode 20 airs on May 11, 2022, and episode 21 airs on May 18, 2022. The finale, episode 22, airs on May 25, 2022, at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
What can fans expect out of the finale? Jesse Spencer is reportedly returning as Matt Casey just in time for Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd’s wedding. Fans will also see Sylvie Brett returning to Firehouse 51.
“Yes, Sylvie will be back for the finale,” Andrea Newman told Deadline. “She’s a full-time member of 51. She was gone while visiting Casey but when she’s back, she’s back. She and Casey will have to figure out their relationship going forward, which is what they’ll be doing in the finale.” We look forward to seeing more Casey, more Brett, and finishing out the season with a bang.
