Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 9 featured the return of Stella Kidd — and Kelly Severide seemed shocked to see his fiancée return to Chicago. Severide asked Kidd if she wanted to be with him at all, and their relationship appeared distant since her return. Now, we’re starting to wonder if Kelly Severide and Wendy Seager will begin dating.
Who is Wendy Seager? The showrunner promises we’ll see more of Seager in ‘Chicago Fire’ Season 10
So, who is Wendy Seager in Chicago Fire Season 10? Andy Allo plays Seager, and she first stepped into the show in season 8 as a Lieutenant for the Office of Fire Investigation. Due to her position, she often works closely with Kelly Severide, One Chicago Center reports. In season 8, she was a recurring character for a number of episodes.
It seems we’ll see more of Seager moving forward, too. Earlier in Chicago Fire Season 10, she returned and once again worked closely with Severide. Showrunner Derek Haas also told fans they can expect to see more of her moving forward.
“We’ve been reading a lot of interesting articles about [arson] cases and the way they can go in any direction,” Haas told TV Guide. “‘Was it an insurance claim? Was this even arson?’ is, to us, interesting, and then you throw Seager and Van Meter into the mix, and we just think that’s fun. They love Severide. They want him to work there. And that makes it fun for us, to be able to push him into those stories and pull them back out. There’ll be a few more of those before the year is over. You haven’t seen the last of Seager.”
Will Kelly Severide and Wendy Seager date?
With Wendy Seager coming back for more of Chicago Fire Season 10, could she and Kelly Severide get romantic?
When Stella Kidd left to pursue her Girls on Fire program outside of Chicago, Severide noted how he felt abandoned by her, as she wouldn’t answer his calls. Also during this time, he worked closely with Seager — and they appeared flirtatious. Then, in Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 11, Kidd caught wind that Severide and Seager worked closely together. Kidd expressed concern and jealousy over Severide and Seager, and Severide noted he would’ve told Kidd about Seager, but Kidd never answered his phone calls.
It’s likely Seager may pursue Severide, as it’s clear they have a connection. While Severide enjoys spending time with Seager, we doubt he’ll give up his romance with Kidd. Additionally, if Kidd and Severide break up, we can’t imagine Severide would jump into a relationship with Seager.

Given everything that’s happened between Kelly Severide and Stella Kidd, will they stay together through their current rough patch? Severide has been distant from Kidd since she came back to Chicago. Finally, in Chicago Fire Season 10 Episode 11, they appeared to begin to reconcile their relationship.
Kidd actor Miranda Rae Mayo also hinted that Severide and Kidd will get through their difficulties. “I think they love each other and they just, you know, they continue to choose each other and it’s been beautiful to watch,” she told CinemaBlend.
