In an exclusive interview with Glitter Magazine, actor Torrey DeVitto talked about portraying Natalie in the medical drama. During the discussion, the 37-year old actor shared that playing the character was a “good challenge” for her.

“I love finding what makes the character do the things they do. What drives them, what makes them tick,” DeVitto explained. “It is my belief that hurt people, hurt people, so even when I am playing a character whose morals I don’t agree with, it’s a fascinating part of the process to try and understand and sympathize with why they do what they do. It’s challenging, and I like a good challenge.”

DeVitto went on to say that she relates to Natalie on a personal level. “Natalie is probably the one character I share the most characteristics with. Sometimes with certain storylines of hers, I wonder, ‘Is art imitating life or is life imitating art?’ which gets a little scary, but I like it. I like that I have let myself blend with this character more than ever before.”
