Joanna Gaines says being married to Chip is like having 3 additional children
During a video for HGTV, Joanna says Chip is “like having a whole set of triplets.” The Fixer Upper star never quite settles down and he’s always telling jokes and looking for a laugh. Joanna also says Chip is a “bag of tricks.”
During a series of outtakes for HGTV, Chip goes a little too far and hurts himself. He injured his fingers after jumping into a crawl space. The hole was much deeper than Chip thought. Joanna says Chip looked like a ballerina when two of his employees helped him out of the crawl space.
Chip makes fun of Joanna’s obsession with shiplap
In an HGTV video of outtakes, Chip teases Joanna about her shiplap obsession. He puts his hands up and mimics her talking about shiplap. In another scene he asks Joanna if he looks fat or “jacked” when he stands a certain way.
“Hey, when I stand like this, do I look really strong or do I look kind of fat?” asks Chip. “Because I was just standing here, and I can feel the buttons sort of bulging open.” Joanna says it’s just like Superman, but Chip isn’t so sure. “Is it like, ‘Wow, look at that guy, he kind of looks jacked,’ or are you thinking, ‘That guy is a little chunky to be standing that way?’” Joanna replies, “Of course, jacked.”
Chip entertained Joanna by putting a 3-inch nail up his nose
During some of the HGTV outtakes, Chip is seen placing a 3-inch nail up his nose. He interrupted Joanna during one of her scenes by asking how far she thought he could get the nail inside his nose.
“How far do you think I can stick this nail up my nose?” Surprisingly, he managed to get the entire nail in his nose. “Baby, it’s to my brain,” he says as he pushes the nail further inside. He then asks her to pull the nail out of his nose. “Now we gotta get a tetanus shot in your nose hole,” says Joanna. “Baby, I think it did hit my brain,” says Chip. “Good, maybe it woke it up,” Joanna shoots back.
Chip Gaines told dad jokes for Father’s Day
Chip loves a good dad joke. This past Father’s Day, he rounded his children up and read them some of the funniest (according to him) dad jokes from fans. One of his favorite dad jokes is, “What time did the dad go to the dentist? Tooth hurty.” Chip is so tickled by that joke that he says to the fan, “You win bro! I pick you!”
