Chip Gaines Has a Sweet Gesture With Joanna Gaines and Writes It in ‘John Deere Green’
Chip and Joanna Gaines are the power duo behind the Magnolia Network and the hit show Fixer Upper. The couple has inspired millions of people across the United States to strive for their dreams and make anything possible. Chip and Joanna have built an empire that started from a little shop in Waco, Texas and their mutual love for one another is what keeps them strong. On Valentine’s Day, Chip had a sweet gesture that made fans talk.
Chip and Joanna Gaines celebrate love
It was on Valentine’s Day that Chip got romantic and dedicated a sweet post to his lovely wife Joanna. The couple has a retail complex in Waco at the Silos, which are two massive storage towers used to store grain. Chip shared a sweet photo of the iconic structures and one of them had the following, “C + J = 4 EVER.”
“Forever and ever. Happy Valentine’s Day, Jo!” Chip captioned the post.
The letters written in green represented the initials of the star couple and fans quickly noticed the tone of the color was very particular.
“In John Deere Green,” a fan noted.
“And in John Deere green!!!!!! BEST Valentine’s EVER!!!!” a follower said.
“IN John Deer Green. Love love, love it. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to My most favorite couple in the Universe,” an Instagram user mentioned.
“You’re such a romantic chip,” another fan commented.
“You two are the dream couple!” another follower said.
“So sweet. But you’re still the lucky one. She is amazing,” another Instagram user posted.
Chip and Joanna Gaines didn’t have the best first date
Although Chip and Joanna are seemingly the perfect couple now, it wasn’t always like this. The stars opened up to Oprah Winfrey back in 2021 about how their relationship started and it was not an easy path.
“I was quite the catch, I was really a bit of a player,” Chip said on the show Super Soul. “Joe was a little bit like the librarian-type. You’d pull the pencil out behind her bun and then realize what was behind the scenes was this beautiful, spectacular woman.”
Being that Chip thought he was really into himself, he seemingly thought he could just arrive at any time on his first date with Joanna. However, Joanna was not going to have it and their first date could’ve not have happened at all.
“If he would have been a minute later… I told my roommates, ‘I’m not answering that door. If he doesn’t come in the next five minutes, ‘we’re not answering.’ So he only had about five minutes late or it would’ve been over,” Joanna revealed.
Joanna Gaines helped Chip find direction
The thing about Chip and Joanna is that they are seemingly opposite, but they compliment each other very well. In the same interview with Oprah, Chip recognized that he was “such an idiot” and it was Joanna that gave him direction in life.
“My dad used to [say], in a loving way, ‘Son, talking to you is like trying to get a drink of water out of a fire hydrant.’ I was always that kind of energy, it wasn’t pleasant, it wasn’t cute,” Chip explained. “Joe has just kind of grounded me. When I die or I’m on my deathbed, what I’ll say looking back is that ‘I owe you my life because you settled me down.’”
