Chris Noth Revealed His Favorite ‘Sex and the City’ Scene and It’s Surprising
Chris Noth might not be ready to commit to the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That, just yet. That doesn’t mean he isn’t willing to talk about his time on the series, though. Noth, who portrayed Mr. Big for six seasons and two movies, recently sat down with Kelly Clarkson to discuss his character. The talk show host asked Noth about his favorite Sex and the City scene, and he had an answer at the ready. His favorite moment might actually surprise fans.
Chris Noth played the cool and collected Mr. Big in Sex and the City
Noth, who currently stars in The Equalizer, is best remembered for his Sex and the City role. He portrayed Carrie Bradshaw’s main love interest, Mr. Big, for all six seasons. The emotionally distant but incredibly charismatic Mr. Big was the only man who truly got under Carrie’s skin.
Mr. Big and Carrie broke up multiple times during the show’s six-season run. Still, after each breakup, they remained in contact. Fans were desperate to see the pair back together eventually, and that’s exactly what they got. Carrie and Big rekindled their romance in the series finale and are still together today, as far as fans know. That is all subject to change, though.
Noth’s favorite scene reminds fans that potty humor is ageless
Noth appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show to discuss his life and recent jobs, but Clarkson was focused on his iconic role on Sex and the City. When asked what his favorite scene was, Noth immediately knew the answer. He revealed that he enjoyed a season 1 episode where Carrie accidentally farts in bed the most.
Noth said he found the scene especially funny and loved that his character got to prank Carrie after the fart. The episode Noth is referring to was titled “The Drought.” It was the eleventh episode of the show’s first season. The following episode, the season 1 finale, found Carrie and Mr. Big at a crossroads. The pair broke up for the first time in the episode.
Will Chris Noth return for the Sex and the City reboot?
Noth has yet to confirm his involvement in And Just Like That, but he’s also urging fans not to count him out. After Page Six reported that Noth would not reprise his role in the HBO Max limited series, he took to Instagram to speak out. Noth replied to a fan in his Instagram comments, explaining that they shouldn’t believe everything they read in the media. He went on to remind readers that things change quickly in Hollywood. While it was not the announcement fans were anticipating, it still offers some hope.
Even if Noth doesn’t reprise his role in the series, the writing team behind And Just Like That will need to explain his absence. Rumors are currently swirling that the famed financier, whose real name is John James Preston, is being sent off to prison for white-collar crimes. The stories would explain John Corbett’s announcement that he would reprise his role as Aidan Shaw in several upcoming episodes. HBO Max did not return a request for comment. It looks like only time will tell.
