Chrishell Stause Thinks Justin Hartley’s Conscience Will Have to Deal With What Happened During Their Divorce, Source Says
Chrishell Stause is an actress who is best known for starring on the Netflix series Selling Sunset. On the show, viewers got to see Stause experience a public divorce from her ex-husband, This Is Us actor Justin Hartley.
While Stause was open about the difficulties she faced during the divorce, a source now says she also feels “her conscience is clear” and Hartley is the one whose conscience will have to deal with everything that unfolded.
Justin Hartley blindsided Chrishell Stause with divorce papers in November 2019
Stause and Hartley got married in 2017, and the couple had dated for several years prior. However, in November 2019, it was announced that Hartley had filed for divorce.
On season 3 of Selling Sunset, Stause claimed she did not see the divorce coming, and Hartley reportedly did not tell her about it beforehand.
“I found out because he texted me. Forty-five minutes later, the world knew,” Stause revealed. “I know people are saying we were only married two years, but it’s like, we were together for six years… In a fight, that’s his go-to—like, ‘I’m out, I’m out.’ I hate that kind of impulsive stuff, but I always just thought that’s just an issue, that we work through it.”
Stause reportedly believes her ‘conscience is clear’ when it comes to their divorce
Since the premiered of season 3 of Selling Sunset, many people have been taking sides in the divorce. For example, some of Stause’s cast mates have questioned whether she was really blindsided or not.
However, a source recently shared with Us Weekly that Stause believes “her conscience is clear” when it comes to their divorce.
“It still stings that Justin blindsided her like that, but the way Chrishell sees it, that’s something Justin has to live with,” the insider said. “Her conscience is totally clear.”
Has Stause been dating after the divorce?
Shortly after the divorce, it was revealed Hartley is now dating actress Sofia Pernas, who appeared on The Young and the Restless with him in 2015.
It does not seem like Stause has been dating again, but she did share that some people have slid into her DMs. She told Entertainment Tonight in early September, “That has been a nice surprise. There’s a few [people you might now], but I’m not going to tell you who… [I’ve responded] in a polite way. I haven’t like gone and like… I haven’t taken the next step, no.”
Stause also told the outlet that COVID-19 has kept her from finding romance at the moment, but she is “excited to mingle.”
However, Stause is not holed up at home waiting for the pandemic to pass. She is keeping herself busy by competing on the new season of Dancing with the Stars, which premiered on Sept. 14. Based on Stause’s social media posts, she has been spending a lot of time practicing with her dance partner Gleb Savchenko.
