Chrissy Teigen Keeps 1 Secret Condiment Stashed In Her Purse At All Times
Chrissy Teigen is so hot right now. Literally.
The 34-year-old mother of two has become the undisputed queen of social media and gained quite a following thanks to her candor and wit. Teigen is unashamed to give fans a glimpse into her real life — even the messy parts — and poke fun at herself and her superstar husband, John Legend. Teigen may be a stunning supermodel, but she acts like she might be your best friend, too.
Teigen is outspoken with her opinions on topics ranging from politics to the best midnight snack options. The one item she never leaves home without may be unexpected. But we’d expect nothing less from her.

Like so many celebs, Teigen is almost always traveling for work or pleasure. She explained that celebrities have it easier than most folks thanks to a members-only airport terminal which allows them to skip the typical long lines in security.
“They do the same security privately and take you to the plane in a car,” she tweeted during an AMA. “I know. I know.”
Couple that with her household staff, including four part-time nannies, and it’s easy to see why Teigen is living the good life. And like so many other A-listers, she has very specific demands when it comes to travel — like her surprising travel companion condiment.

What’s in Teigen’s carry-on? The answer may surprise you.
“I travel with mini Cholulas, mini Sirachas, and mini Samba Oeleks,” she told Travel + Leisure. “You can get like 500 [on Amazon] for like eight bucks. So I have a handful of each.”
The variety of brands is for a very specific purpose, too. According to Teigen, who published a cookbook in 2018, certain hot sauces should be paired with particular meals.
“I hate when people serve you Tabasco with dinner,” she continued. “I’m like Tabasco is a breakfast hot sauce; Cholula is a breakfast hot sauce; Siracha is a dinner hot sauce; Samba Oelek is a dinner hot sauce. There are different hotsauces!”
Teigen’s pantry further highlights her devotion to hot sauce
The former model recently shared photos of her newly reorganized pantry on Instagram and fans couldn’t help but notice her extensive collection of hot sauce there. Not only did her many varieties take up a whole section of her pantry, but also, they were stashed on a lazy Susan for easy access.
And yes, she really does put it on everything. In an interview with Food & Wine, Teigen admitted she has a small tweak to John Legend’s fried chicken recipe. “I love my husband’s fried chicken, but I took it to the next level by swiping it with Cholula honey butter — I’m a total hot-sauce freak,” she admitted.
And it gets weirder. Teigen’s legendary love of hot sauce inspired one super fan to have a bottle of it personalized with her face on it. It’s a little thoughtful, a little creepy, and ultimately is the type of weird and wonderful gift Teigen would appreciate.
