Teigen rose to fame as a supermodel, walking the runway for top fashion brands. She even appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. After her marriage to John Legend in 2013, she began achieving even greater fame, making television appearances and posing in Legend’s music videos.

However, it was the launch of her food blog that really cemented Teigen’s place in pop culture. Her humor and unbridled enthusiasm for food earned her many fans and it surprised few when she published a bestselling cookbook in 2016.

Two years later, Teigen released another popular cookbook. She also curated a line of cookware for Target, followed shortly by a website devoted entirely to new recipes and food inspiration.

Teigen also added the title of mother to her resume in 2016, when she gave birth to her daughter, Luna. Baby boy Miles joined the family in 2018. Teigen loves sharing photos of her adorable children on social media, much to her followers’ delight.

Chrissy Teigen is open about her plastic surgeries

Teigen might have been a supermodel in her younger days, but she never succumbed to the trap of getting multiple surgical procedures in order to fit a specific mold. In fact, Teigen has revealed that she has only ever had one surgery, and it was to get breast augmentation in the early years of her career.

She said: “Yeah, I did my boobs when I was about 20 years old. It was more for a swimsuit thing. I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed.”

However, in the spring of this year, Teigen decided that she had enough of the implants and wanted to go under the knife to get her breast implants removed for good. She was transparent with her fans about the process, revealing that she got a routine COVID-19 test prior to the surgery and that the procedure, which she had in June, went well.

What did Chrissy Teigen say about being pregnant and getting surgery?

In August, Teigen and Legend announced that they are expecting their third child. Almost immediately, fans on social media started hitting Teigen with questions about the timing of the pregnancy, and whether she knew about her pregnancy when she had her implants removed only weeks prior.

Teigen, never one to be phased by trolls, responded in characteristic fashion: “I did the routine pregnancy test you do before surgery. It said negative. It was not negative.”

She went on to explain that, “a few weeks after the surgery, I took a test. And for many years now, I’ve taken pregnancy tests almost every month, praying to see a positive one day. Just wishful thinking. I never had a positive before.”

Teigen stated that, once she saw the positive test, she was scared. “Was pretty positive you shouldn’t get your boobs out while pregnant? Pretty sure.”

Fortunately, Teigen’s doctor reassured her that all was well, and Teigen ended her Twitter explanation by thanking her fans for their support: “You guys have seen how rough these past few months were for me here. So now you know why I just extra appreciated all the love and support through it all, especially since you didn’t even know. You just thought I was in stressful internet hell”
