Christina Aguilera is one of the biggest names in pop music in 2024, and fans remember when she rose to fame in 1999. She was known for her sultry moves and incredible voice at just 19 years old, and she went on to have a successful career. Unfortunately, Aguilera was hit with rude commentary regarding her changing body through the years. Then, in 2024, she was hit with Ozempic rumors following weight loss. Here’s what a source said regarding how Aguilera and her fiancé are now having intimacy issues — and how they still have no plans for a wedding.

Christina Aguilera and her fiancé, Matthew Rutler, allegedly have intimacy issues stemming from her weight loss

Christina Aguilera is no stranger to public scrutiny. She rose to fame as a teenager and quickly became a sex symbol in the pop industry. Later, she faced backlash for no longer having the same body as she did at 19. Then, in May 2024, she debuted a new physique that had fans talking. Aguilera faced Ozempic rumors after a performance in Mexico.

Dr. Jonny Betteridge, a London-based aesthetics doctor, said he suspected Aguilera took Ozempic-like weight-loss pills. “The change in weight in such a short period of time could be attributed to Ozempic use, and I also think she would have dissolved all the filler in her face before then undergoing some surgical treatments,” he explained, according to DailyMail.com.

Aguilera hasn’t confirmed or denied the Ozempic talk. However, a source told Life & Style that her new physique is negatively affecting her relationship with Matthew Rutler.

“Most people probably assume she’s got a hot sex life to go with her hot body, but it’s actually the total opposite,” the insider said. “Apparently, she and Matt used to have a way better sex life, but these days, it’s DOA because she’s just never in the mood. It’s not something that’s ever been an issue in their relationship before, so of course Matt is blaming her drastic weight loss.”

The insider added that Rutler doesn’t feel like he has the same “connection” to Aguilera as he once did. “He’s been complaining to friends and saying he wishes she’d gain some weight and start acting like herself again,” the source continued.

Matthew Rutler got down on one knee on Valentine’s Day in 2014. As of 2024, Christina Aguilera and Rutler have no plans to walk down the aisle. However, their decision has nothing to do with Aguilera’s physique. The couple allegedly doesn’t see a need to rush down the aisle when they’re happy with their romance.

“There are no wedding plans at the moment. [Aguilera] and Matt are happy the way they are,” an insider told Us Weekly in August 2022. “They’re one of those couples who don’t need a document to prove their love for each other.”

While some fans may wonder if the couple faced trouble in their relationship, the source noted that Aguilera is “very much in love” with Rutler and is enjoying motherhood with her two kids. She also didn’t want to have more children.

“Christina is working on keeping her body the way it is and loves being on tour in the UK right now,” the insider added at the time. “She’s feeling really good and back in her element doing what she loves.”

She previously said she felt ‘so insecure’ over her body as a teen

Christina Aguilera doesn’t spend too much time listening to those who critique her body. “I have a maturity now where I just don’t give a f*** about your opinion,” she told Glamour in August 2024. “I’m not going to take it on. It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people’s opinions of me are not my business.”

In 2021, she reflected on how she felt “so insecure” in her body as a “skinny” teen. Aguilera embraced the way her body changed. “I think we all have our good days and our bad days in how we feel about ourselves,” she told Health, according to People. “Entering this business, I hated being super skinny. Once I turned 21, I started filling out a little bit, and I was loving my new curves.”

She added that she didn’t like to look at early photos of herself because she remembers feeling “so insecure.”
