Christina Anstead Returns With Ex-Husband Tarek El Moussa for ‘Flip or Flop’ Season 10
Christina Anstead is one of the most recognizable stars of the HGTV network. The interior designer rose to fame on the show Flip or Flop that she started with her former husband Tarek El Moussa. Despite getting a divorce, the pair have continued to work with each other on the series. Fans are sure to celebrate as the program has just been renewed for a new season.
Who confirmed the new season of ‘Flip or Flop?’
When Anstead and El Moussa announced they were divorcing in 2018 after almost 10 years together, fans thought Flip or Flop would be canceled. Despite not being married to each other though, the couple has continued to work together on TV. Their awkward banter only grew exponentially after they split which has made for interesting interactions.
Showing they are two mature adults, Anstead and El Moussa have gone on to film more successful seasons of the house flipping show. It was Anstead that shared on Instagram that the series would return for a tenth season.
“Feels weird to say this but I’m excited to announce Flip or Flop has been picked up for a 10th season,” the interior designer said. “My goal was always a decade of TV. It’s a big accomplishment in this industry and something Tarek El Moussa and I are both proud of. It has been one hell of a ride. I love the fact that Tay and Bray will get to look back at this journey and watch themselves grow up.”
Christina went on to thank the cable network as well as the production behind the hit show. However, most importantly the TV star thanked the fans that have made the series possible.
“Thank you to all of you for watching throughout the years and making it such a hit. Much love,” she ended.
Christina Anstead is not invited to the wedding
Although Anstead and El Moussa have a great relationship thanks to their job in front of the cameras and their co-parenting of their two kids. However, things are not great for her ex-husband to invite her to his wedding. El Moussa is set to marry Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young and Anstead is kind of not invited.
“No, no exes at the wedding,” Tarek told Entertainment Tonight. “Small, less distractions, more intimate, better conversations with the people around us. You know, we just think smaller is better.”
El Moussa and Rae Young say they want a small wedding with their closest friends and family there. They also don’t want cameras to film as they want things to remain private.
“Just intimate, with our best friends and family,” Heather added. “We’re gonna have to be strict with our list.”
Christina Anstead split up from her husband
After divorcing El Moussa in 2018, Anstead married Wheeler Dealers host Ant Anstead that same year. The couple welcomed a baby together the following year and recently announced they were splitting up.
“Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate,” Christina posted on Instagram in September 2020. “We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority. We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family as we navigate the future.”
As Anstead processes a new phase of her life, the new season of Flip or Flop is sure to keep her busy in the coming weeks.
