Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa have managed to stay close after getting divorced. That was partially due to their work, but also they co-parent their children together. The Christina on the Coast star said isolation has brought them even closer. Find out how and how they’re dealing with staying safe during the coronavirus pandemic.
Christina Anstead said she texts Tarek El Moussa’s girlfriend
Anstead and El Moussa are working together to take care of their kids, Taylor and Braydon during isolation. He is currently dating Heather Rae Young. Anstead said she texts Young.
“We’ll, like, text each other random recipes right now during isolation,” she explained to Us Weekly. “She’ll send me whatever her favorite go-to granola bar is, and I’ll text her back, whatever mine is.”
The reality star said they’ve also shared recipes for drinks. “We’ll share, like, margarita recipes with each other like a skinny watermelon, so yeah, it’s nice,” she said. “We all get along.”
She has posted about homeschooling their kids
Anstead has been posting updates on her family on Instagram. One of them was about homeschooling kids.
She posted a picture of the words, “So…Home schooling going well. 2 student suspended for fighting and one teacher fired for drinking on the job.”
The real estate investor captioned it with, “Just to lighten things up but really … any suggestions how to homeschool a 9 and 4 year old at the same time? Besides trying to learn allll the technology (not my strong suit) it’s also trying to figure out what to do with an extremely active 4 year old. Of course allll preschool work books sold out online… so – SOS! Mad respect for all the teachers out there … your job is way harder than mine!”
Anstead also posted a picture of her son and daughter holding cupcakes on Instagram. She captioned it with, “So today we made our first recipe straight out of @thewellnessremodel book ‘Peanut Butter Chocolate chip chia muffins’ … it was fun and they were tasty even though we accidentally left out the sugar.”
The Wellness Remodel is her new book that she co-wrote with Cara Clark that is now available. Anstead also gave an update on her life in an interview.
She said isolation made them bond
The mother talked about what isolation has been like for her. She is still co-parenting with her ex-husband.
“Luckily we live two streets away so that’s really easy for us, because nothing’s really changed in that aspect,” Anstead told E! News. They aren’t just physically close, but their relationship sounds strong.
“In times of crisis, we kind of bond more because obviously our No. 1 priority is the kids,” she said. “We’re just trying to figure out what’s best for them and making sure that they don’t feel scared. That’s not something they should be feeling right now, so we’re just trying to stay positive for them.”
Anstead seems to be staying positive through isolation. She recently posted on Instagram a joke about bringing back bowl cuts.
