Michael Myers is in a league of horror movie villains who have longevity, ranking up there with Dracula, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, and Jason Voorhees. And let’s not forget Chucky from Child’s Play.
Halloween Kills and SyFy’s Chucky shared a special moment on social media when both launched fresh installments in their respective franchises. But now, some fans are clamoring for a bloody crossover between the two icons after seeing them in a commercial together.

On Oct. 12, SyFy released its first episode of Chucky, the TV series that brings him to Charles Lee Ray’s New Jersey hometown. Leading into the premiere, fans anticipated a return to creator Don Mancini’s vision for the killer doll. Almost 1 million viewers tuned in for the premiere which included a special ad featuring The Shape.
Those who opted to sit through the Chucky commercial breaks witnessed the cool moment where the pair shared the screen. Chucky cackles as he carves up an unseen object with his signature steak knife, and suddenly Michael appears. What? They both took a stab at a pumpkin to advertise Halloween Kills and Chucky. Brilliant.
Fans would love to see ‘Halloween’ and ‘Child’s Play’ crossover
In the vein of Alien vs. Predator or Freddy vs. Jason, some monster-loving fans are rooting for a Michael Myers and Chucky mash-up. Whether it comes in the form of a gladiator contest or buddy team-up, they’d love to see it. Can you imagine either of them working with a partner?
Twitter users who caught wind of the promo think it’d be an “epic” idea if the contrasting killers formed a tag team like Marvel’s Avengers or Batman and Robin. Others are down to see them fight it out in a savage, frightening competition. And one Reddit user made this hilarious but true observation: “Goddamn and now I actually want this to be a real thing… :( Please give us Michael vs Chucky movie! A guy who never talks vs a guy who can’t shut the f*ck up.”
It’s noted that in the first few minutes of Bride of Chucky, there’s a shot of Michael’s mask, Freddy Krueger’s glove, Jason’s hockey mask, and Leatherface’s chainsaw. Perhaps a future crossover is possible. Why not? Chucky and Michael share similar immortal qualities, hate humans, and both are very menacingly sneaky.

Those itching for a slasher villain collaboration may have to wait for an official movie, but an upcoming docuseries will put many of them in the spotlight. Chucky, Michael Myers, Candyman, and other horror legends will be featured in Shudder’s Behind the Monsters.
Pop stars in their own right, these baddies take you deep inside their backstories through interviews with actors, directors, and producers. Each episode will focus on a different character and their films.
The docuseries streams its first episode on Tuesday, Oct. 26 and will drop new ones each week. That means fans can follow Chucky’s journey along with Michael Myers’. Perhaps horror buffs will learn just how much the two have in common.
