On Tuesday, celebrities and supporters gathered in College Park, Georgia, for an extra special rally headlined by Michelle Obama. Gateway Center Arena hosted the star-studded event. Coordinated by the nonpartisan organization When We All Vote, the VIP portion of the rally featured Rita Wilson, Kate Capshaw, Shonda Rimes, and Ciara. Although all of the celebs emphasized the importance of voting, the “Goodies” singer stole the show in a wild and a bit wacky outfit.

Surrounded by supporters, many of them local attendees from HBCUs like Morehouse College and Spelman College, Rita Wilson greeted fans as she supported the cause. The That Thing You Do! actor and Kate Capshaw hugged before kicking off the event. In 2019, the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom star founded The Hearthland Foundation with her husband of 32 years, Steve Spielberg. Capshaw’s non-profit works with charitable organizations to create a more just and equitable America via grants and projects.

Ciara took the stage to encourage voters to get out to the polls and bring friends and family, too. The 39-year-old, known for her sexy style, covered up in an unusual suitcoat. Designed by NAMILIA, the camouflage coat featured a floor-length structured body and widely oversized shoulder pads. The Berlin-based label specializes in bold designs and signature club wear for “rebels” and “provocateurs.”

This suitcoat coat in particular is from NAMILIA’s fall/winter 2024 collection. Ciara accented it with a simple all-black ensemble underneath. Fresh off a long weekend in NYC, she wore her go-to pair of round wire-rimmed sunglasses, which she just donned for her SiriusXM interview in Manhattan. The “Goodies” singer added subtle brown lipstick and painted her almond-shaped nails a simple nude beige.

After speaking at the VIP reception, Ciara took to the main stage to support Kamala Harris’s campaign. The mother of four danced to the stage and enthusiastically greeted the crowd with, “Heyyyyyy!”

Born in  Fort Hood, Texas, the Army brat spent much of her teen years in College Park. According to C-SPAN, Ciara started her speech, “Being back home always hits different because ATL made me who I am today.” She later stated, “[Georgia] might even be the make-or-break state; the state that decides the winner next week … That’s why, starting right now, you have to do whatever you can to show up for whatever candidates and issues you care about … Make sure you get out there. There is no time to waste.”
