Who Is Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow’s Girlfriend Olivia Holzmacher?
Quarterback Joe Burrow was selected with the first overall pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2020 NFL Draft. There were high hopes for Burrow in Cincy but a little more than halfway through his rookie season the former Heisman Trophy winner tore his ACL and MCL in a game against the then-Washington Football Team. He bounced back in time for his sophomore season with the whole city rooting for him as the future of the franchise who fans hope can lead the team to a Super Bowl victory.
Someone who has been cheering for him during the games long before he became the Bengals signal caller is Olivia Holzmacher. Here’s more on Burrow’s longtime girlfriend.
When Burrow and Holzmacher met
Olivia Holzmacher was born on April 27, 1997, in Mason, Ohio, just outside Cincinnati. She attended William Mason High School and then Ohio State University and that’s where she met Burrow. The two were both studying data analytics at the university when they first laid eyes on each other.
Burrow has been the backup quarterback at the school and ended up transferring to LSU in 2018. The Tigers won College Football Playoff National Championship in 2019.
Later that year, Burrow was awarded the Heisman Trophy beating out Justin Fields, Jalen Hurts, and Chase Young. Holzmacher was by her man’s side at the award ceremony. “I’m so proud of you,” she gushed on Instagram.
Where Holzmacher works
Holzmacher graduated from Ohio State in 2019. FabWags noted how she described herself and the subject she majored in while there.
“Firstly, my love of statistics and analysis is the reason I chose my Data Analytics major; but I am much more than just number,” she said. “Secondly, I am a critical thinker; continual learner, problem solver, detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, flexible, energetic, focused, and confident.”
According to Holzmacher’s LinkedIn profile, she’s a senior process specialist and analyst at The Kroger Company, which is based in Cincinnati. Prior to that, she worked as a supervisor at a gym called Lifetime Fitness in Deerfield, Ohio.
Holzmacher is Burrow’s biggest fan and isn’t shy about gushing over him on social media
Holzmacher has documented many of the pair’s special moments over the last few years to her more than 28,000 followers on Instagram and she has always shown her support for Burrow, calling herself his No. 1 fan. On the night of the draft in 2020, she took to social media with a sweet message for her beau.
“Tonight a new chapter starts!” Holzmacher posted. “Thankful to be by your side Joe and to be a part of the past three seasons. I’ve had the best experiences and met the best people along the way. So excited for what the future holds.”
In 2023, Burrow signed a five-year, $275 million deal. According to NFL.com, that made him the highest-paid player in NFL history on an annual basis at $55 million per year.
