The wait is (almost) over. Music fans will finally head “back to the desert” for the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
The Coachella lineup announcement listed Styles, Eilish, Kayne West stylized as Ye in the promotional poster, as the main headliners for this festival. (Part headliners included Beyoncé, The Weeknd, and others.)

Coachella posted teasers to their official Instagram account
Throughout 2021 the Coachella Instagram account posted throwbacks from the festival. With the lineup officially announced and some tickets selling out, fans expect more Instagram content from this festival.
In January 2022, the Coachella Instagram account posted a promotional video. The caption read “back to the desert.” It earned over 35 thousand views in less than 5 hours, as well as dozens of comments.
“The fact that the Coachella account is going to start posting on Instagram again is literally all I need,” one Instagram user commented. Attendees also keep updated with the official Twitter account, which has almost a million followers.
When is the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in 2022?
The 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will take place over two weekends: April 15-17 and April 22-24. Within a matter of days, passes for both weekends sold out. (Music fans can still join the official “waitlist” for the festival.)
To ensure the safety of attendees, Coachella will also require ticket holders to present a negative coronavirus (COVID-19) test or proof of vaccination before entry. A statement on the website elaborates that Coachella “shall be presented in accordance with applicable public health conditions as of the date of the event and which may change at any time as determined by federal, state or local government agencies or instrumentalities, artists or the promoter.”
The 2020 Coachella Festival was originally postponed from March to October 2020. Coachella then canceled their event, later canceling their 2021 festival. Other music celebrations will welcome music fans in 2022. That includes New York City’s Governor’s Ball and Tennessee’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.
